I completely agree with
@degenBRO__ on this.
Lately I've seen a lot of posts about making money from the FIFA World Cup on Tiktok, but only a few people truly understand how it works.
Many people think getting a foreign TikTok account is all they need to start making money. In reality, that's just one piece of a much bigger puzzle.
Your audience matters.
Your content quality matters.
Your consistency matters.
And most importantly, understanding how TikTok behaves before and after monetization matters.
A lot of people will start the journey. Some will quit when they realize how much time, effort, and data it takes. Others will keep going only to run into the dreaded "Ineligible for Recommendation" issue.
Here's what many creators don't know:
There is a huge difference between TikTok before monetization and TikTok after monetization.
Before monetization, your content is mostly pushed based on engagement and other performance signals. The system is relatively forgiving.
After monetization, especially for videos longer than one minute, TikTok reviews your content much more strictly. Poorly edited, low quality, repetitive, or unoriginal videos can receive strikes and be marked as "Ineligible for Recommendation."
When that happens, your video may still be visible on your profile, but TikTok stops actively pushing it to new viewers.
And here's another part many people completely miss:
TikTok pays based on views from eligible countries.
That means 100,000 views from an African audience is not the same as 100,000 views from a US audience when it comes to earnings.
Right now, someone is probably thinking, "No problem, VPN got me covered."
Lol.
Good luck with that.
A VPN can change your location, but it doesn't magically change your audience, viewing patterns, content signals, or how the platform evaluates your account.
So while everyone is rushing to create foreign TikTok accounts, understand that monetization is far more than just changing your account location.
