My favorite Commander deck is a Simic "Im going to ygopro replay combo for 20 minutes" Landfall deck. I understand its not fun to play against, but which is less bad. Is it more fun if I give everyone a turn to interact with the board or is it preferable I just win that turn?

I havent played a TON of magic, but I do think this card will likely create a lot of feels bad games at low brackets. Yes its a bad card but its a gamble card. Either someone gets their commander spiked every turn or Ulamog gets to jumpscare everyone for free.
Everyone is clowning on casual’s takes about Molecule Man, and missing the point.
The card isn’t broken or ban worthy, is it IS going to make Bracket 2-3 games miserable if the table isn’t prepared for it.
I think that’s what people are trying to articulate.

Gotten a few hours to play with Locke and holy fuck he is insane, but for entirely different reasons than people dooming about him. His Ult, the "infinitely scaling %max health execute" is his worst ability by FAR. His damage doesnt feel unfair for an AP Assassin.

He is very slippery thanks to his teleport and his Q slows but he does get domed by CC very easily. The real scary part of Locke is just how brutally mana efficient he is. He is balanced as a champ with Mana but plays like he is resourceless.

I had a game where I killed the opposing midlaner, they came back, I killed them again, then I roamed bot, got 2 more kills, came back mid and took another kill and still had half my mana. With 0 mana built in either items or runes. It gives him so much freedom in how he trades.

Its crazy that Riftbound named a card “This is bait dont play it” and yet every 2 weeks half the playerbase manages to convince itself that its the craziest card of all time

If you kill enough people to get a 5% execute threshold increase on Locke you are already so far ahead that the 5% is meaningless. 5% increase is 10 kills with your Ult specifically that you survived. The scaling is great flavor but is basically nothing actual power-wise.

My genesys point list take is Misc does not need to be 67 points and Dinosaur has consistently proved that despite having incredibly dedicated pilots its really bad and at best Astero is a problem in decks that arent Dinosaur, like Monarch. #YGOGenesys
