The Angul Forest Division celebrated “World Environment Day 2025” on 5th June at the Conference Hall, Circuit House, Angul, with the theme “Plastic-Free Environment.” The event aimed to raise awareness about the adverse effects of plastic pollution and promote sustainable, eco-friendly living.
Sri Siddharth Kumar Pradhan was conferred with the prestigious “Prakruti Bandhu Award” by the RCCF Angul, the Collector & District Magistrate of Angul District, and the DFO, Angul, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to environmental conservation. A passionate nature lover, he is actively working towards making Angul plastic-free.
Recently, he led an inspiring initiative at Jarada High School, where he, along with school children, created a dustbin using plastic bottles and pouches. He also educated the students on how to repurpose plastic waste into useful items for everyday life.
Sri Pradhan and his team are deeply committed to creating a cleaner, greener, and plastic-free Angul. He is a true Green Warrior, dedicated to making the environment safe and clean.
