"The diversity and uniqueness of our seabirds is remarkable, yet their survival is increasingly threatened as they face a relentless wave of challenges, and it’s now widely acknowledged that urgent action is needed."
We've published a guest blog from @RSPBScotland on the threats facing Scotland's internationally significant seabird population, and how you can help:

Exciting news from #RestorationForth!
Monitoring shows oysters introduced to the Forth earlier this year have an amazing 85% survival rate so far. 🦪
With more of these ecosystem engineers deployed this autumn, there are now 30,638 oysters helping to restore the Forth! 🎉
The COP16 UN Biodiversity Summit recently took place and Elise Lavender, our Parliamentary Affairs Officer, outlines 3 key takeaways from the conference that will affect our ocean. We also take a look at the UK's involvement and what happens next👇mcsuk.org/news/cop16-three-k…

"The failure to implement protections means that most of our marine protected areas, both offshore and inshore, are largely ineffective"
In @TheScotsman, our Marine Policy Officer sets out why @scotgov must act now to protect our deep seas:
scotsman.com/news/opinion/co…
Scotland's deep seas play a crucial role in regulating our climate and supporting marine life.
But for 10 years these important areas of our seas have been lying unprotected from the most damaging industries.
Tell @scotgov to protect our deep seas now:
scotlink.org/deepseas
Scotland’s seas have 20 offshore marine protected areas, which aim to safeguard our precious deep-sea ecosystems. But 10 years after their designation, they still lack proper protection.
Please add your voice to save Scottish seas: scotlink.org/deepseas#OceanRecoveryNow
"Seabed habitats could capture almost three times more carbon than forests in the UK every year if left undisturbed"
📰The sea plays a crucial role in regulating our climate, but much more needs to be done to protect it.
