Q-band DQC offers distinct advantages for dual nitroxide-labeled proteins, including deep dipolar modulations, minimal background decay at micromolar concentrations, and increased sensitivity with the incorporation of deuterium. (1/2)

Using recent theory, we show that the field dependence of the DQC signal is sensitive to the relative orientation of the two g-tensor axes. The data is also in great agreement with theoretical predictions. (2/2) #ESR

Josh and Shramana’s paper on a new rigid Cu(II)based DNA label is now published in JACS! The new Cu(II) label is anchored inside the DNA helix and is sensitive to dynamic and structural fluctuations of the duplex induced by protein binding.

Zikri (now at UC Davis) recently published a paper from his PhD in collaboration with the @StollPatrol group. Here, we developed two rotamer libraries for our dHis-Cu(II)-NTA using molecular dynamics and the new chiLife method. @PCCP

In this work, we were able to achieve 100% modulation depths and 50 nM distance measurements in 12 hours.

We were also able to measure 25 nM protein concentration in 40 hours, which is the current concentration limit we have seen with EPR distance measurements!
