Show¡Laena's death was terrible and made even worse by how humiliated she was by her husband after, however it really makes me think about book¡Rhaena and how Morning was likely there when she died, if not responsible for lighting up her pyre after she was pushed to birth again.

I think some people often misplace what a war really is when it's upon a fantasy/fictional setting and that's a given really, since it is media, but one doesn't need to be very bright to know when any lethal conflict is happening, the safest thing to do is create distance.

I've read people even go as far to say Rhaena being sent to the Vale is "proof' she wasn't cared for in-books, when it's the contrary? Baela stays back, the words chosen are "refused to" yet when Nyra goes to KL, Baela is left again, and ends up having her dragon eaten.

It's so interesting to think about the dynamic here, because book¡Rhaena got the far sweeter end of the deal in every sense of the world. It started during the war but stretched after it as well, allowed to choose her husband, dragonrider, preferred by the court and the council.

By sending her to Jeyne, Rhaenyra and Daemon made sure Rhaena was sheltered from risk. Had they not cared for her they'd have simply let her stay and be unguarded. Baela believed Moondancer could protect her, "refused to" go anywhere else and no one tried to convince her further.
