Hazel dormice have declined by 70% since 2000. But despite alarming topline statistics, reintroductions and other projects are making a difference locally ensuring a future for dormice.

The Mammal Society is launching a project to track the spread of the invasive Greater white-toothed shrew. We are using owl pellet dissection as a method to collect data on small mammal communities. If you have owl pellets to spare, please send them to "Freepost MAMMALSOC".
