Meet David — 85 years young and in the middle of his 66th season as a grassroots referee 😱🔥
After a knee injury ended his playing days at just 17, David refused to walk away from the game he loved. In 1959, he picked up a whistle for the first time… and never looked back.
What started as a friend’s suggestion has become a lifetime of passion, commitment and community. His family even believe his incredible run may be a world record — and they’re working to have it recognised 👏
From changing rules to changing attitudes, David has seen it all. And he’s still not done yet.
“I’ll keep going,” he says. “My body will tell me when to stop.”
66 seasons. One unstoppable love for the game.
Well done, Dave — you’re an inspiration to us all 🙌
