I keep seeing new AI reading apps. New tutors, new gamified phonics. New ways to hand a kid a screen and call it learning. Here's what none of them sell: you. If you can read this post, you can teach your child to read. That's the bet behind @once_reading.

If you want your child to read, don't buy convenience. Tablets produce tappers, not readers. With @once_reading, it's you with your kid, side-by-side, for every page. Comment DEMO & I'll give you a personal tour to get started.
Every other reading app is selling the "best AI tutor." We make you a world-class teacher for your kid. The research is clear: the most effective early reading instruction is one-on-one, in-person, with a trusted adult. So we built that.

I taught reading a classroom. Research is clear: the most powerful reading instruction a child can have is 1:1 with someone who knows what to do. @once_reading, gives the script. You give them the story. That's Once. Free until your kid reads their first 3-letter word. πŸ”—πŸ‘‡

Konstantin leads Product & Engineering at Workshop Ventures. In 7 months with Once at Home, his daughter learned more than a year's worth of reading content. She's now reading chapter books. Check out where your child is reading today with our free Reading Check. πŸ”—πŸ‘‡

Not all screen time is equal! AI helped students complete tasks faster. Less stress. Better output metrics. But when tested independently, no deeper learning. "AI makes the task easier without making the learner more capable." The central problem with most edtech right now. 🧡

100% agree
Reading and learning are still the highest ROI activity I know. Nothing else comes close.

I love this. β€œWhat can go right?”
I'm in love with this sentence: β€œIf you can overthink the worst why can't you overthink the best.”

The people who know the most about child development aren't waiting. Teachers use it with their kids. Principals use it with their kids. Pediatricians use it with their kids. Ed-tech PMs use it with their kids. Use it with your kids.
A literacy specialist wouldn't use a reading app that didn't work. She uses Once at Home. We think you should, too. It's free until your child reads their first 3-letter word.

1 in 3 American kids can't read proficiently by 4th grade. The window to change that starts way earlier than most parents think. 10 minutes a day from age 3–5 makes an enormous difference.

In January, this kindergartener knew 1 letter sound. 5 months of tutoring. Just 15 min/day. Yesterday, he finished reading on grade level, ready for 1st grade. He grew ~2x a full year's expected progress. I followed the @once_reading script and cheered. He did the work. πŸ“š

The honest part: I'm a former teacher, but I didn't need to be. The script did the heavy lifting. Anyone willing to show up 15 min a day and have fun could do this. His reward: a lifetime of reading for joy (and the matching Once tee 🐐). So proud of you, kid.
