Access and trust: These are two of the primary tools for child molesters. They’re tools that are in abundant supply in churches, particularly for pastors, ministers & leaders. In the latest case of SBC clergy sex abuse, we see the devastation wrought by these tools. 1/2

It wasn’t “sibling rivalry” if someone had to heal from it.

Yes indeed.
Never discount the impact that sibling abuse has. It’s important to note that quite often an abusive sibling has abusive parents backing them to make sure the scapegoat always feels like the problem.

“A breathtaking memoir about two sisters and a high-profile case: Nikki Addimando, incarcerated for killing her abuser; and the author, Michelle Horton, left in the devastating fall-out to raise Nikki's young children and to battle the criminal justice system.” @StandWithNikki

Most domestic murders are preventable. There are high risk clusters of behaviour for serious harm & homicide. To save lives we must focus on the abuser. They are the problem. I’m teaching on June 12/13 @dashchecklist & again on Oct 30/31. To book email laurarichardspa@gmail.com
