There's a house in our neighborhood that we don't like to linger in front of when walking the dog. It's not spooky, there's just a man there that wants to have long, meandering conversations and we're too polite to say "no".

United flight was delayed 3 hrs so they sent me a 2 meal vouchers for $20, good for one purchase each, no change. I grab some stuff on principle but only $13. The cashier made sure I don't want anything else, then proceeds to add 5x$1 cheese slices to the bill. I cheered for her.

Pulling numbers out of my ass:
Training for security is skewed 10x toward offensive techniques.
Jobs in security are skewed 100x or more toward defensive roles.
Knowledge of offense helps defense but diminishing returns kicks in *real fast*.
