H.E. Mr SASAYAMA Takuya, Ambassador of Japan to Uganda, signs a grant contract worth USD 594,319 under the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGOs scheme to support Peace Winds Japan (PWJ)โs livelihood and food security project in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement.
The project will strengthen agricultural production through the construction of additional crop-processing facilities, enhance collaboration between local agricultural institutions, and expand nutrition-awareness activities among refugees and host communities.
Implemented in western Ugandaโs Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, home to more than 130,000 refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, the initiative aims to improve food security, nutritional balance, income generation, and sustainable livelihoods for both refugees and neighbouring host populations.

Waiswa was nominated while in prison, the election held while he was in prison and the case may be heard and determined when heโs still in prison.
