The chaos in college sports is ruining student-athletes' opportunities, and Congress must act now to fix it. If I sat on the Commerce Committee, I would ask two questions:
• If student athletes became employees, how would this affect the number of opportunities that a school can provide its student-athletes?
• How does Congress allow college athletics to embrace paying players while preserving the opportunities they currently provide to their student athletes?
Ahead of the most significant Congressional hearing on college sports, a question looms: Does the Cruz-Cantwell bill have any shot of passage?
Though pushback lingers - most notably from the Big Ten and SEC - one top official believes it to be a coin flip
