Under President Trump, the State Department is defending the integrity of U.S. citizenship by ending illegal birth tourism schemes. No foreigner is permitted to obtain a visitor visa for the primary purpose of acquiring U.S. citizenship for a child by giving birth in the U.S.

EXCLUSIVE: Noncitizens in New Jersey were on the voter rolls for years — and some even cast ballots before asking to be removed, according to documents obtained through public records requests. Records reviewed by the NJGOP and RNC show multiple noncitizens seeking citizenship told election officials they were unknowingly registered to vote, with several pointing to the DMV as the source. Most had no voting history, but county records show at least some voted in elections before being removed from the rolls. The records were uncovered after Republicans requested voter roll data from all 21 New Jersey counties and are drawing renewed attention to how noncitizens were registered and what safeguards could be put in place to catch the errors sooner.

Reminder: Last year, a woman in Orange County, CA was charged w/ felonies after she successfully registered her dog to vote in CA and casted multiple mail in ballots in the dog's name in CA elections. She was only caught because she turned herself in and her attorney said she wanted to "make a point". The dog's vote was successfully counted in the 2021 recall election of Governor Newsom, but the dog's ballot in the 2022 primary was rejected. Why the difference? According to the OC DA's office: "Proof of residence or identification is not required for citizens to register to vote in state elections nor is it required to cast a ballot in state elections. However, proof of residence and registration is required for first- time voters to vote in a federal election. As a result, the 2022 primary ballot cast in [the dog's] name was challenged and rejected." The woman, Laura Lee Yourex, has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing. She has no prior criminal history. Prior to her arrest, she mockingly posted on social media that her dog, Maya Jean, had voted, and had continued receiving mail in ballots, posting photos of Maya Jean with her ballots.
