Takaya Imamura, the original Star Fox designer, said the Switch 2 visuals got him choked up.
After seeing the demo, it’s easy to understand why.
The controls already feel noticeably smoother and tighter than anything the series has had in years.
Precise, responsive, and properly weighted. You feel like you're actually piloting instead of fighting the Arwing.
The cinematics are doing real work too.
They’re not just flashy, they’re quietly building the world and giving context that’s been missing for a long time.
That alone feels like a step forward.
Characters look and sound properly alive once they’re moving and talking. Screenshots don’t come close to capturing it.
And Meteos?
It looks genuinely mind-blowing on Switch 2 hardware.
The scale and detail make the whole thing feel bigger than before.
This is the version of Star Fox a lot of us have been waiting for, the one that respects the original while finally giving it modern room to breathe.
What stood out most to you in the demo? The handling, the cinematics, the characters, or the environments?
