Spoiler alert: the lesbian dies

Super Validating thing that happened yesterday: Helped a friend out moving a dresser and we were talking about my dad. Unprompted she goes, "What is his problem with you?" and I couldn't help it I was just like "THANK YOU."

Yesterday my dad asked if I knew what something was, then was like "you only know that because your mom told you." My response was, "Yeah, thats how most people learn. From their parents."
Having parents who didn't prepare you for literally anything in life, judging you for being "behind" as an adult is definitely a canon event for a lot of neurodivergent people.

he started to talk shit saying "Yeah well usually not into their thirties--" and my mom cut him off and said "That's not very nice" so kudos to her for standing up for me but wtf

i like how for a certain set of millennial women โ€œgo piss girlโ€ has become an automatic polite social response in the vein of saying โ€œbless youโ€ but for peeing

I want a refund on every minute I spent in 8th grade learning that monopolies are illegal and that our government would protect us from greedy men....

this iconic tracking shot from "wings" (1927), set in a parsian cafe, includes what is often regraded as the first lesbian moment in a mainstream hollywood movie.

Not saying anything new, but Kate O'Flynn is indeed giving the best performance on television right now in Widow's Bay.

If the governments job isnโ€™t to secure even basic shit like clean drinking water for its citizens, whatโ€™s its actual purpose?! THIS IS WHAT WE WANT OUR TAXES PAYING FOR

You think she looks ugly in Fable???
Hayley Atwell has been cast as the villain Isabel in the Fable reboot. She provides both the voice performance and motion capture for the character. Somehow they did it again. Western games keep uglifying characters. This is just on purpose.

My good friend Ursula K. Le Guin has some thoughts on this

In fiction evil is often written to have depth and complexity while good is written to be simple and boring. But in real life evil is boring and predictable while good is complex and unique every single time.

One of Trump's more authoritarian impulses is making his underlyings betray their principles in humiliating and public ways: forcing Kennedy to eat McDonald's, having Kash be the front man on Epstein denialism, directing Gabbard to execute a war on Iran, etc.
It's #NationalBurgerDay. The war on protein is over, and REAL American beef is back on the menu.

The internet used to be full of websites; there were millions of them and you could browse for hours and come away smarter rather than dumber. Now there are four sites and they've made half the population illiterate. We've destroyed a wonderful thing, and it has destroyed us.
I can't properly describe to anyone under the age of 30 just how cool the Internet was before Amazon, Google, Meta, and Apple turned it all into a walled garden of garbage and commerce.

This is why I try not to talk about it. If you don't have it, you don't understand it. It's a silent torture.
The hardest part about having ADHD is that the symptoms sound like excuses to everyone who doesnโ€™t have it..including sometimes yourself
