Platner didn't emerge from grassroots. His breakthrough was in glowing profiles in all the elite outlets where, unlike at the grassroots, this the itch that always needs scratching.

But it's the opposite. If this is all there was, he'd be out in an instant (cf. Al Franken, Eric Falwell). The hostility to Jews, reimagined as a brave stand against diabolical forces at home & abroad, is the thing that binds him to the Pod Bros types and blinds them to the rest.
