I am nervous this will be the response to a teacher shortage. Instead of bolstering supply of teachers by addressing factors that cause people to leave/not consider teaching, the “easier” choice for policy makers will be to lower the bar of quality.

Cancelling this game (if they do) will be the EASY part. The hard part, comes after, as we try to square the nature of a violent sport, with freakishly built athletes, that has become a national obsession. The NFL has been very lucky for a long stretch on these type of incidents.
