Wicked has gone from being something I liked and that meant something to me to something I absolutely never want to hear or thibk about ever again for all my days

Being a parent w/little kids in school and watching these supervillain cabinet picks roll is horrific. I’m nauseous and preemptively exhausted at how much research I’m going to have to do to stay ahead of what’s coming

As someone who grew up in a community where 2-income households were the norm, I’ll never not be confused by these engagement-bait questions, like do groceries not cost money on the other side of the tracks? Do women all just visit the husband store on their 18th birthdays?

Why would any woman ever choose to do anything other than live in fantastical luxury

Also why would a man choose a 9-to-5 when this exists?? I mean

I rarely say yes to finished copies of books because I’m happy with the galley/PDF. BUT when one of my favorite books is out in pb I have to say yes. @ShandersWrites @GraywolfPress

Can somebody summarize or link me to the info about whatever is happening here on 11/15?

Successful marriage stories are all around you, they’re just boring so they don’t grab your attention. From the outside they don’t look like anything

This was so fun! Amber was awesome 😍
Clinging to joy here! My short story collection Company comes out in paperback next week, and I’m so excited to celebrate its launch at @Loyaltybooks with @ambernoelle. DC area friends, please come—if you’re like me, sharing a moment w/our community is much needed.

For those who wonder whether personal growth is possible—there was a time when it would not have been possible for me to be even a day late in learning that Jana Duggar had gotten engaged, let alone going THREE MONTHS without realizing that she got MARRIED (iykyk)

Company is out in paperback today! Thank you to @yignarski and @GraywolfPress for bringing it into reality, thank you to everyone who has already read it and shared it with a friend, thank you to everyone who will read it, and to Kimberly Glyder for the stunning makeover

Get it anywhere books are sold (preferably at your local indie!)!!

The piece itself is reasonable and sensitive, if redundant. But I do think that, as is often the case, “They just don’t want to” is doing a lot of (misleading!) work here

The way they are pounding at this from every angle, whew. My parents loooove being grandparents. I can only imagine what it would be like to hope for that and miss out. But their peers aren’t the target audience for this piece. It’s not a sympathy piece; it’s a guilt trip.

Every trad wife whose name you know earns a significant income moms who work 9-to-5s or more *also* groom their kids and bake bread and stress over details = the actual fantasy is a domestic servant who supports the home financially, NOT a contented kept woman

What an opinion about trad wives things that’ll have you like this?

Very little evidence that the men attracted to the fantasy relate to it through their own role in it, which is mostly Just Ken
