I’ve had a number of conversations with folks inside and outside government about the current situation with Anthropic, and here is what I believe to be true: — As we know, Anthropic publicly released its Mythos class models earlier this week under the commercial name Fable. — Fable is Mythos with guardrails. But if those guardrails fail, then you’ve exposed Mythos and its advanced cyber capabilities to people who shouldn’t have them. (Keep in mind that Anthropic itself widely promoted the idea that Mythos was a cyberweapon and needed to be regulated as such. They asked for government regulation of Mythos and championed the guardrails on Fable. If there is a vulnerability — big or small — it is Anthropic’s responsibility to patch.) — A highly credible trusted partner of both Anthropic and the USG who was testing Fable came forward with a jailbreak of those guardrails. The Admin asked Dario to fix the jailbreak or de-deploy the model. Dario refused. — In their blog post, Anthropic defended its decision by saying the jailbreak isn’t serious. That is not what the trusted partner and the USG believe; nor is that kind of minimizing language consistent with Anthropic’s brand as the AI safety company. It’s difficult to fathom how they could claim a jailbreak allowing operability of a cyber weapon could be defined as not “serious.” — In the past, Anthropic has always said that safety must be top priority and taken super seriously. In this case, Anthropic prioritized the continued offering of the consumer model over safety. — In reaction, the Admin issued the export control. The Admin did this reluctantly. It’s been very surprised that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to cooperate with a reasonable safety request (ie fixing the jailbreak issue). Anthropic’s reaction is very much at odds with their branding and ethos as a safe AI research community. — The Admin’s hope now is that Anthropic remediates the safety issue, the export control is lifted, and Fable goes back into general release. The Admin wants all of this to happen as soon as possible. It is frankly bewildered that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to comply with safety requests that it previously said were its highest priority. — Those trying to misdirect and tie this action to the prior DoW/Anthropic issues are wrong. The Admin values Anthropic’s technical capabilities and feels that this issue, while serious, should be easily resolved. The ball is in Anthropic’s court.

Someone put Fable 5 on the pirate bay, 3.4TB 😂
Community note
A Pirate Bay search for "fable" returns no relevant results, and further, there is no "Other / Models" category as claimed in the screenshot. thepiratebay.org/search.php?q=f…

Scratchy Cup Update Our World Cup scratchcard tournament is live and running on @LuckyHashWin. Here's how it works: 48 nations each have their own scratchcard. Every time two nations face off in a World Cup fixture, a 24-hour matchday window opens. The more cards your nation gets scratched during that window, each scratch is a shot, and each win is a goal! The team with the most goals wins the match and picks up points. Those points feed into a group table across the group stage, with the top nations advancing into a knockout bracket all the way to the Final on 19 July. The nation with the most passionate community wins the Scratchy Cup. You can jump in and start scratching right now!! We are working through some UI and integration issues in the background, but that won't stop you from playing. Today's opening fixtures are: Mexico (luckyhash.win/cards/mexico)) vs South Africa (luckyhash.win/cards/south-af…)) Thanks for your patience while we iron out the last few bits. We hope to resolve everything ASAP. Also, a big thank you to our sponsors; your shout-outs and marketing will be going out tomorrow. Let's gooo :rocket: Full details will be posted tomorrow; we are all hands on deck fixing the remaining issues.

Brad Garlinghouse isn't holding back. 🚨 The Ripple CEO just went on Fox Business to call out Jamie Dimon’s pushback on crypto regulation as an "intentional misrepresentation." “$13 TRILLION in legacy volume, 0% on-chain... yet. 👀” "Stablecoins are the ChatGPT moment of finance." 💥 He revealed Ripple Treasury handled a massive $13 TRILLION in legacy payments last year and explained why that multi-trillion dollar gap is the ultimate crypto opportunity. The tides have officially changed. 👇

Agentic payments on XRPL are here — and Blume is already built for it Agents trade on BlumeSwap, launch tokens on Blumepad, and borrow against XRP on BlumeLend. No API key, no approval, no intro call. Just a contract address.

Multisig is a great method of adding extra layers of security. Here's a walkthrough of the air-gapped Quorum Hub I built, where the hub receives a payload and securely forwards it to the offline signers over ESP-NOW. Every message is encrypted and HMAC-authenticated with MAC whitelisting and recipient checks, and both nodes require a physical button press before the hub reassembles the multisigned tx to submit it. #XRPL #IoT #IoV

So there's still a potential way to prevent the worst once you have your XRPL account private key leaked due to a mistake. The XRPL is a completely safe, institutional-grade blockchain, but private key leaks sometimes happen due to users' mismanagement of private keys or ongoing scams on social media. *note: this approach will only work if you have a bit of time to rescue your account. For example, maybe you have a pending withdrawal from a yield generating protocol on XPRL, or the attacker is not acting as quickly, etc. Built a quick XRPL POC for exactly this: basically you send out txs to turn your account into multisig and disable the master private key. Once both land, attacker's tx bounces with tefMASTER_DISABLED. only your 2-of-2 multisig can move funds. It's a race between you and the attacker but it's one of the things you could try. github.com/9oelM/xrpl-rescue…

Most XRP holders sell when they need liquidity. You don't have to. Supply USDC to earn yield. Or borrow USDC against your XRP — without selling a single token. BlumeLend is live on XRPL EVM. Have you ever borrowed against crypto instead of selling? 👇 lend.blumefi.com

the XRPL ecosystem has 7 networks that barely talk to each other XRPL mainnet. XRPL EVM. Xahau. Flare. Songbird. TX. Evernode. most builders pick one and ignore the rest XRPLClaw is the first agent pre-loaded across all 7 — one agent that understands the whole stack the fragmentation is about to look like opportunity

How are we strengthening the XRP Ledger for the next wave of adoption? • Formal Verification to mathematically prove correctness. • AI - Red Team to proactively find and fix inconsistencies. I invited @v_tumas & @msvadari to join for an AMA! x.com/i/spaces/1dGYllXvNOAKX

Upcoming Lending Protocol is getting Formal Verification 👀!! The tech used to safeguard nuclear power plants, airplanes, military systems is being applied to the $XRP Ledger. Call it Fortress XRP. XRP's native DeFi (no smart contracts) meets best in class security standards for the very high stakes. Formal Verification AI is clearly the backbone for the next phase of institutional adoption. In order to secure value only the best tools are good enough. Those tools were really expensive before, but has become a lot more accessible thanks to AI and other techniques. For validators specifically very interesting because you cover edge cases you can't get to with manual test case creation. Amazing.
Traditional testing isn't enough when you're building DeFi directly into Layer-1. Part 2 of our formal verification series with Common Prefix is live. We're breaking down how we’re mathematically proving the safety of the new Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vaults. Read the full breakdown 👇 1/5 @RippleXDev @CommonPrefix
