A sweet token from a recent school assembly attended by our instructor Annie 🥰 The incredible folks at @EASDMarch hosted an end-of-year celebration to show their appreciation for volunteers and supporters who offered their services to the student body over the past school year.
How kind of them to recognize our work — and we were happy that Annie could represent Shanthi Project at the event! (Read below for a heartfelt testimonial about our mindfulness programming. There's nothing we love more than hearing how our work impacts schools!) @EastonAreaSD
Earlier this week, a stellar group of volunteers from our staff, board & families helped assemble a whopping 875 summer mindfulness kits. They were distributed to *every student* at Raub Middle School in @AllentownSD — just in time for a mindful and grounding summer vacation!
This opportunity was made possible through a PCCD grant in partnership with @UnitedWayGLV. We are so grateful to be able to provide these tools to support Raub's students, and we're wishing all of them a very fun and relaxing summer!
Last week, we wrapped up Mental Health Awareness Month by sharing mindfulness with students at @EHS_Hornets. During lunch periods, Jocelyn and Sarah ran a table outside the cafeteria and engaged students in simple mindfulness and gratitude practices (seen in the first photo!) ✨
The two of them also shared techniques for self-regulation when students feel anxious or overwhelmed. This time of year, high schoolers have a lot to contend with—exams, graduation, big life changes—and mindfulness is the perfect tool to help! Thanks to Emmaus for having us 🐝
Check out Shanthi Project's tabling setup for @BASDLincolnCS Kindergarten Welcome Day last week! 👀 At community events like this, we introduce mindfulness to kids and their parents by leading short, fun, and approachable practices.
Here, we offered a selection of breathing flashcards, a calming glitter jar, mindful crafts, a breathing ball, and sweets to practice mindful eating. 🍬 @BethlehemAreaSD
How exactly does practicing mindfulness benefit our minds and bodies? We wrote about mindfulness, stress & the brain in our newest blog post — and Mental Health Awareness Month is the perfect opportunity to learn about the physical impact of mindfulness! shanthiproject.org/post/brai…
Another successful tabling event, held just last week at March Elementary's STrEAM night! ✨ Shanthi instructor Annie met lots of local families, leading mindfulness practices for students and sharing our mission with community members. @EastonAreaSD@EASDMarch
Families stopped by to take a deep breath or two and shake out their bodies to balance all the excitement of the event. Kids also got the chance to engage in some mindful art 🎨 by assembling a "breathing bead wand."
Recently, Shanthi instructor Annie led art sessions at Thomas Jefferson Elementary's STEAM Afternoon. She worked with 2nd and 3rd graders, crafting a class mandala and teaching mindfulness along the way. Such a fun day — thanks to all at Thomas Jefferson and @BethlehemAreaSD!
Setting healthy boundaries is key to protecting your mental well‑being and easing stress. A few easy ways to start:
✅ Share the load by delegating when you can.
✅ Say NO when you need to—it’s okay!
✅ Carve out time for yourself with some well‑deserved self‑care.

As #WorldMentalHealthWeek starts, let’s remember the importance of mental health.
Millions of people around the world face mental health challenges. Yet stigma still keeps many from seeking the support they need.
Let’s change that.
Breaking the silence starts with us. Reaching out, staying connected, and supporting one another can make a real difference.
Many thanks to Bonnie at The Journey Home for leading an arts activity for Shanthi Project's team building! Each creation was a collaborative process, with everyone contributing unique additions to all pieces of artwork. Everyone went home with beautiful garden illustrations!
