Sharp Park is the only public, seaside Alister MacKenize designed golf course. Opened in 1932, it is owned and operated by the City of San Francisco.

Congrats to our friends @GolfClubAtlas on the unveiling of their limited edition Issue No.1 - Gazetteer publication (for their members only). The printing is a brilliant illustration featuring several of the finest courses around the world.
I'm grateful to contribute some thoughts on a place that is beyond special to me and so many others - California Golf Club of San Francisco.

We are devastated to report that the Trump administration is officially terminating our 50-year lease with the National Park Service to manage and renovate the three courses. The termination is effective immediately.

Pasatiempo Golf Club, designed by Alister MacKenzie and opened in 1929, showcases bold bunkering and dramatic greens. Recent restorations by Tom Doak and then by Jim Urbina have revived MacKenzie’s original strategic vision and character.
