Parents now come to me when their athlete is in eighth grade because they have watched thirteen-year-olds get tagged online like a verbal commitment means something at that age. It does not in any sport. No college coach builds a roster around someone who has not finished growing. The early noise is for the parents. The real recruiting starts later than the internet wants you to believe. Breathe.
