A4: We have many health initiatives that align with the CSH framework, however, as we formalize how we evaluate these initiatives, we can ensure they can be valued and supported by our school community. #CSHMed2019

A3: We have started the journey in completing the JCHS healthy school planner. With the additional data we will be able to create an authentic action plan. As well, the accountability survey, these tools all provide foundational pieces in supporting CSH. #CSHMed2019

As we saw in our readings, community school does an excellent job in ensuring they share data to increase engagement of all partnerships, especially parents!
Wow! A fantastic example of successful partnerships! Way to go!
#CSHMEd2019 A1. Last year we launched our first year of school-wide Learn to Skate lessons and worked collaboratively with @EverActiveAB, @CanadianTire, @SportsEquipBank, City of Calgary and the University of Calgary to get everyone out on the ice. Wow! It was so great.
Agreed, in my opinion, the most important partnership is that of home and school. #connections
Excellent point. Sometimes the home and school connection is not seen as a partnership. We need to change this paradigm. #CSHMED2019
I was hoping that free membership extended to the rural communities... unfortunately not this year. It is a great opportunity for all students :)
A1: AHS, a strong partnership that ensures all vaccinations are done at our school as well as supporting our annual active living day. #CSHMed2019
A1: Our school has many great partnerships that support health initiatives. Our breakfast program is partnered with a local church. Our partnership with the local shelter to donate pyjamas every year. A fantastic PAC, strong advocates for the all school initiatives.#CSHMed2019
A3: Staff Wellness Wednesdays are underway... last week we had awesome weather for our walk. The upcoming challenge maybe the weather, we will figure it out. Great connections ahead... #bundleup #CSHMed2019

A2: In our school, we just finished an annual food bank drive that aligns with Halloween. Students do such an amazing job of giving to the cause. Being a Leader in Me school promotes our school population to be kind and giving to community. #CSHMed2019

Agreed, taking a look at existing health initiatives and discuss which ones align best with HPS. We often just keep adding without being mindful of staff well-being.
#CSHMEd2019 A1. It's also very helpful to round up what you are doing already into some kind of visual so that your team can see a picture of what goes on. Then you can begin to align initiatives or make decisions about what you will add, continue or stop doing.

A1: Creating a common goal with staff, Gain knowledge and leverage from other HPS projects. Showcase all the great initiatives that already exist to empower the team! #CSHMed2019

A4: Our school has build such amazing community partnerships! Breakfast program, food bank drive with local dealership, grocery stores for our Big Crunch day, Active living day with multiple active programs, and many more... We are very lucky! #CSHMed2019
Agreed! Teaching activities that build skills that are transferable are so important!
A3- when I read the quote I automatically think of TGfU! Why just teach specific scenarios/sports... when we can approach it holistically and allow for the transfer of knowledge between scenarios! #cshmed2019
A3: We are in the process of completing the JCHS healthy planner survey, which will allow for great data to create an action plan. Celebrating what R school already does is important too! Getting everyone to see the success & the challenges is powerful place to start#CSHMed2019
