We tend to approach CSH for students, unintentionally leaving students out of planning process. The evidence has proved students need to be empowered and part of the planning of CSH. #CSHMED2019

A4 IMO, Data serves as the provocation for the “conversation” that leads to change. The reason to “call the meeting” -unfortunate that there isn’t always sustainable funding to bring all stakeholders together. Incl. Health & Education to truly embrace the CSH approach. CSHMed2019

#CSHMEd2019 A4. I think that becoming more aware of the data that is gathered has helped us to gain some momentum when working on our well-being for our SDP. It has allowed us to have some great conversations on how our CSH approach supports our school community as a whole.

A2- I think that’s where a team comes into play. Ensure that several people understand what goes into developing and maintaining these relationships. If it all falls on one person what happens when they aren’t there? #cshmed2019

A2 Policy is helpful - in ON public health nurses have standards that direct / support the work done in public schools. In my experience at the school, system and provincial level is the need to move from programmatic partnerships to toward “systemic partnerships” #CSHMed2019
