As you gear up to ring in the New Year this evening 🎆 , just a friendly reminder that our officers 🚔 will be out in full force, and our jail has a few vacancies! Unless you’re eager to kick off 2025 with some fingerprints, a mugshot, and a towing bill 🚘 , it might be a good idea to plan for a designated driver or an Uber. Remember, we have a zero-tolerance policy for drunk 🍺 driving, and if we stop you, you might just find yourself on an unexpected adventure—one that doesn’t involve confetti 🎉 or champagne 🍾! So, let’s raise our glasses responsibly and celebrate safely. Wishing everyone a fun and safe New Year’s celebration! #goodbye2024hello2025 #nomugshotshere #SipSipHoorayButNotInTheCar #KeepThePartyOffTheRoad

Well folks, we told you we couldn’t fix stupid but we could arrest it… and here is the proof. We recently reached out to you, our online detectives 🕵️‍♀️ and asked for this thief to be identified… if you recall this genius took his own picture with a stolen cellular trail camera 📸 that he took while breaking into a house; well you all showed up and flooded us with tips. Today, we arrested Mark Ervin CROOK 🤔 who was charged with Felony Breaking & Entering and Felony Larceny after Breaking & Entering, Crook was awarded with a complimentary stay in the ole gray bar hotel for his accomplishments ⭐️ . Ironically he seems to be living up to his last name. #Gotcha #WelcomeToTheJailhouse #CaughtTheCROOK #DontBeACrook #SantasNaughtyList

Sending a HUGE shoutout to the heroes who were working around the clock at the 911 center when Hurricane Helene hit Henderson County. ⛈️🌪️ These incredible individuals answered over 10,000 emergency calls in just the first few days, working on 15-30 minute naps to keep us safe until help came from across the state to give them a break. These men and women are the unseen voices behind the 911 calls, the ones who step up when people are facing the worst moments of their lives. Some even stayed at the center despite their own homes suffering severe damage, putting the community first. Let’s give them the massive THANK YOU they deserve! 🙌❤️ Not pictured: Glen LaFever and Desiree Vachon #HurricaneHeroes #911Dispatchers #CommunityFirst

In a world where the badge often symbolizes authority and duty, let’s not forget the people behind it. Every officer who wears that badge is a person with their own journey, challenges, and aspirations. Officers are just like you. They are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, and friends. Officers have names just like you. They have special interests and dreams just like you. It’s easy to see law enforcement as a distant, monolithic entity, but at its heart, it’s made up of individuals committed to making our communities safer and better. By showing the faces behind the uniform, we bridge the gap between law enforcement and the communities they serve.🤝👮‍♂️👮‍♀️ #humanizethebadge #communityconnection #UnderstandingAndRespect #BehindTheBadge

Today marks the end of an era in Henderson County as our very own legend, Tim Griffin, hangs up his badge after 35 years of fighting crime and keeping the peace. Tim has spent over three decades putting the citizens of this county before himself, and now, as he rides off into the sunset, he's trading his gun and badge for a firehose and a well-deserved recliner. But don’t think for a second that Tim is slowing down—he’s just swapping out one heroic uniform for another as he joins the ranks of the Etowah Horseshoe Fire Department 🚒. While Tim will be catching some well-earned shut-eye 😴 on his firefighter 👨🏼‍🚒 shifts, you can rest easy knowing our patrol guys 🚓 will be keeping an eye on him during the night. So here’s to Tim Griffin—a true lawman 👮🏻‍♂️and now, a dedicated firefighter 👨🏼‍🚒 . Enjoy the new chapter, Tim. And hey, don’t get too comfortable in that recliner—we know you’re not one to sit still for long! #themanthemyththelegend #TrueServant #NoBiggerHeart #WeWillMissYou #AlwaysHCSOFamily
