Can someone lend a lake to a deep tech startup to test their product? 😬 (let me explain)
AquaAirX is a Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup founded by Jitendra Saini and Gouthami T S. They are building amphibious and underwater autonomous systems designed to operate seamlessly across air, surface, and underwater environments. We have backed them through
@Rainmatterin.
AquaAirX is also developing platforms that can fly to offshore or remote locations, transition autonomously into water, conduct underwater inspection, monitoring, or surveillance, and surface or return with minimal human intervention. Their flagship platform is AVATAAR, India’s first surveillance-class amphibious drone. AVATAAR can soar like a conventional UAV, land on water, and dive to complete missions subsurface.
So, a couple of days ago, they mentioned they would like to explore approaching the government to allocate access to a Bangalore lake for controlled testing of underwater and amphibious systems. Not just for themselves, but for the ecosystem. So anyone else building in this space can use it too. They are also open to connecting with organisations that have already adopted lakes to explore collaboration.
Twitter people, do your thing. We all keep speaking about helping deep tech startups, localisation, and homegrown stuff and like. It is time for all of us to step up and do our bit to help. This is one such opportunity.
If you all point us in the right direction, I will spend some time figuring this out for them.
P.s All testing is designed with sustainability, ensuring zero pollution and no harm to aquatic ecosystems.
