Then, after realizing he couldn't be deported, they dumped him five miles from his home in the freezing cold. He died trying to make his way back to his house.

As a Black Brit I wish I could defend us more, but the pursuit of racial justice here has died. There’s no united spirit of defiance amongst us. There’s docility and conformity. We can say a lot about Black Americans but we have a lot to learn from them about resistance.

There’s a racial pathology and entitlement. Blackness has always been a consumable, so when a boundary is set it seems ridiculous to the consumers. They’ve never had to regard black humanity.
And it’s evident because they rarely insist on saying slurs for other racial groups.

I never understood the “you call yourself one, so why can’t we?” rhetoric because what people call each other is often contextual.
Can I call your mom, “mommy” because you call her mommy?
Can I call your boyfriend “baby” because you call him baby?

- 9yo boy referred to A&E by GP with suspected appendicitis
- Never seen by a doctor. The hospital says it ‘couldn’t identify who saw the patient’
- Discharged
- Getting worse, his father calls 111 (non-emergency line)
- No answer for 2h, is triaged to get a call back from a clinician
- Gets even worse. Parents take him back to A&E.
- Diagnosed with a ruptured appendix and dies of septic shock.

Aww I don’t think this is fair.
No matter how questionable Django might be, he was prepared and in a professional acting environment. Doesn’t mean he can’t ever again react to racial slurs. The fact he’s being demonised is a terrible deflection.

While vocal tics are an uncontrollable symptom, being offended isn’t a crime. Similarly to how being hit by a mentally ill person still hurts. Jamie isn’t a villain here.
It should’ve been censored to protect viewers a debrief offered to black attendees imo
