California Had $98 Billion. They Chose Not to Pay the Debt. In 2022 California had a $98 billion surplus. Democrats spent it on failed homelessness initiatives and healthcare for illegal immigrants instead of paying down the $21 billion unemployment debt every other state paid. Now employers pay $42 more per employee this year alone and it goes up every year. And somehow when the bill comes due the federal government is the villain in their story. #FixCalifornia
California remains the only state that hasn't repaid its COVID-era unemployment loans — and now a GOP congressman wants to force Sacramento's hand before employers absorb another dime. Rep. Vince Fong's bill would require California to direct eligible federal funds toward its $21 billion debt before spending on anything else. Businesses already paid an extra $42 per employee this year in automatic payroll tax hikes to service the unpaid balance. The state had a $98 billion budget surplus in 2022. Democrats spent it on infrastructure, homelessness initiatives, and subsidized health insurance for illegal immigrants instead.

🚨 UPDATE: Xavier Becerra just announced he would "finish" High Speed Rail "on budget and on time." "On time" was SIX YEARS AGO! They've already spent HALF the budget and haven't laid any track! Now we're seeing why even Joe Biden and his team thought Becerra was useless...Vote for Change. Vote Steve Hilton. Vote TODAY!
HERE is the monument to 16 years of failed one party rule. $200 billion over budget, 30 years late - this is not a 'bullet train', it's a bullshit train. As governor I will stop it in its tracks. If only they had laid any...

🚨When @CAgovernor Newsom took office in 2019, California gas averaged $3.93 per gallon. Today? We are staring down at $6.12 at the pump. ⛽️ Highest in the nation!

If you ever need to know what a catastrophe Newsom is, of course the fires that killed 31 people top the list. How about this boondoggle, TWO HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS OVER BUDGET? Not a foot of track ever laid. So where did the money go, Gavin?

NEW RELEASE: Federal Prosecutor Bill Essayli Exposes California’s “Kingdom of Fraud” Federal prosecutor @billessayli and @marissastreit expose the scale of fraud, corruption, and political dysfunction in California. Essayli explains how billions of taxpayer dollars have been lost through unemployment scams, healthcare fraud, and government programs with little oversight and why the system is designed to spend money, not protect it. They also examine illegal immigration, cartel influence, rising crime, and what it will take to fix a state many believe is beyond repair. l.prageru.com/4eSQlbH

Newsom’s Fast Food Council is a TOTAL SCAM—no chairperson, no full meetings in over a year, yet taxpayers are STILL getting ripped off for $1.1 MILLION on this completely non-functioning bureaucratic ghost! This is the same one-party Sacramento regime that’s wasted $24 BILLION on homelessness with ZERO results and saddled families with the highest electricity prices in the continental U.S. Californians are DONE with their DISASTER!!!
Roughly $1.1 million in taxpayer funding is still paying for a body that isn't functioning.

Newsom and California Democrats turned the High Speed Rail promise into a massive scam — costs exploding from $30 billion to $231 billion with almost nothing built after nearly two decades of waste and delays. This is the same one-party regime that’s blown $24 billion on homelessness with dismal results, saddled families with the highest electricity prices in the continental U.S., and buried the state under endless red tape and bureaucracy. This mess ENDS in November when Steve Hilton is our governor! ☀️😎💪

Seattle's socialist mayor told residents to boycott Starbucks the day she got elected. When the company announced plans to leave, she said 'bye' and giggled. Now she's walking it back. Starbucks just committed $100 million and thousands of jobs — to Tennessee.

WE NOW HAVE PROOF!  CA Democrats don't want lower gas prices for you. They know if we start importing gasoline from other states, it will be $1.50 CHEAPER! But AB 2672 requires a massive tax to be added, so you don't get the savings at the pump - the politicians do!  Watch me expose the scam:

Here's a simple civics lesson for Sacramento: Chevron employs thousands, fuels California's economy, and keeps gas in your tank. What does over-regulation deliver? Higher prices and less freedom. Californians don't need more Newsom — they need more Chevron.
Gavin Newsom thinks Californians aren’t smart enough to use Grok to find out that California has the highest gas taxes in the country.

This refinery in Torrance, L.A. County, also operates a refinery in New Orleans. It costs TWICE AS MUCH to produce a barrel of gas here in California as it does in Louisiana. Insane Democrat regulations are GOUGING us on gas prices and we are done with it.

We use 800,000 barrels of gasoline a day in California. We used to produce it here, in refineries like this. Democrat policies shut refineries down so now we only produce 550,000 and IMPORT the rest, as well as most of our crude. Higher gas prices AND carbon emissions. INSANE.

We need change in California--I am the only candidate offering the change we need and the plans to do it. California should be the most desirable and flourishing place in the world. Instead, we have the highest unemployment rate, highest poverty rate, and highest cost of living. That all ends when I'm governor. ☀️👊 @FoxBusiness @MariaBartiromo

.@SteveHiltonx explains why politicians are naturally drawn to socialism: It allows politicians to appear generous without actually *being* generous. While forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for their contrived acts of “generosity,” they impoverish those they claim to help.

$6.14 a gallon—and Newsom STILL won’t suspend the gas tax?! This is exactly why Californians are desperate for change. No more excuses. No more pain at the pump. We’re fighting for $3 gas, real relief for working families, and putting Sacramento bureaucrats in their place. California deserves better. Vote Hilton! ☀️💪
🚨California’s average gas price is now $6.14 A GALLON! Yet Gavin Newsom still REFUSES to suspend the gas tax. How high do prices need to get before Democrats give us some relief? @JenniferHorn

California politicians have continued to raise the gas tax yet we still have the nation's worst roads. My bill, the Gas Tax Reduction Act, gives drivers immediate relief while stopping lawmakers from raising the tax again.
