Why I'm still extremely bullish on the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
@BoredApeYC has crossed the chasm. It’s no longer just a project - it’s a cultural icon with real historic significance that now stands on its own. Its relevance no longer depends purely on team execution

What’s the similarity about the last 4 Yuga product drops?
They all involve onchain Yuga asset verification (BAYC, MAYC, deeds, koda) to allow you to buy one of these
In an age when other NFT projects try to sell to web2 crowd, Yuga leans in to selling to its web3 user base
And it’s fucking working 😅
Here’s why imo:
1️⃣ Yuga cultivated a strong collector base
As Figge mentioned, their goal is to attract the best collectors into the ecosystem. That means these guys buy NFTs to collect. And what’s on top of collecting NFTs? Well, collecting grail items like these
2️⃣ Yuga is focused on satisfying collectors within the ecosystem
As mentioned, to qualify for these items, you need to have certain NFTs. Meaning, that makes the items rare already and access is not for everyone. Which makes collectors happy about getting one of these
3️⃣ Yuga is focused on growing in web3 while others try to grow away from web3
As you can see, all of these involve some onchain verification before the purchase. At the very least, Yuga is honoring web3 roots for their limited and most sought after drops. On top of that, some of these drops involve good tech innovations:
> Arsham mint was in Otherside and was tokengated
> KODA plushie mint is an RWA token that can be traded or burned to claim the plushie
While others try to grow in web2, away from NFTs, Yuga is going deep on web3
While others are alienating their web3 collectors, Yuga acknowledges & honors them
This is why they’re succeeding with these drops thus far

$10k → $25k → $50k
…and did nothing.
Then watched $50k drop to $20k
…and still did nothing.

Then you would have over $3M now.

The foundations of the NFT space will inevitably be highly valued and sought after if/when the space sees mainstream adoption! 💪
In addition to core culturally significant collections like the below, i would also add historically significant collections which started the entire NFT and digital art movement
About NFTs. My fundamental thoughts.
My name is Kristian, I’m NFT holder since march 2024.
I believe collections like BAYC, MAYC, CryptoPunks and Pudgy Penguins deserve to be expensive!
Not because “number go up”
Because they carry history, culture, attention, community and brand power!
In my opinion, today’s prices are absurdly low compared to what these collections have already done for the whoooole NFT space
The entry into top collections should not be cheap. Never.
If we really call this digital art, digital identity and internet culture then the strongest pieces of that culture should have serious value
The next big step for NFTs is not just another mint
It is turning collections into real brands, real businesses and real cultural IP
Only by moving outside the NFT bubble and outside the crypto bubble can these collections reach tens or even hundreds of billions in value 📈
Also, smaller clean projects with real talent deserve moooore support from the big players✊🏼
For example, Good Vibes Club.
They have a very strong visual and animation skill. If they find the right direction, this can become much bigger than just an NFT collection
And one more thing!
I know many people hate aggressive marketing and big influencers in NFTs, but without serious attention, big names and mainstream distribution, this space will stay too small…🙁
Look at Saudi football after Cristiano Ronaldo 😉
One huge name came in and suddenly the whole league became visible to the world!
NFTs need culture.
NFTs need art.
NFTs need community.
But NFTs also need loud marketing, strong brands and expensive top collections!
That is how this space becomes big again

If you have followed me for some time you know how passionate I have been for game development and world building in Web3.
From building experiences on the Roadmap for the @BoredApeYC to becoming an Alpha-Tester in the ODK, the belief in having a decentralized game world has only gotten stronger.
For me the vision for this metaverse has never been more clearer than right here on @OthersideMeta.
I am excited to take up this torch as an ambassador for Otherside and ODK and rally the community and devs to build up Otherside to a higher level.
@TheRenderPool has already amassed a great circle of devs and curious minds who align with this mission already. It will now be my job to keep the focus and provide the resources for game makers to build worlds and environments for their communities and beyond.

Almost 5 years ago, in October 2021, I bought my first Mutant. I still remember the feeling, nervous and electric, not totally sure what I was stepping into, but knowing I wanted to be part of it.
Somewhere in those early days, I made a quiet promise to myself, one day I’d own an OG @BoredApeYC .
Then the market did what the market does. The floor ran. The floor crashed. People came, people left, people called it dead more times than I can count. And through all of it, that one goal never faded. Not when things were euphoric, not when they were brutal. The number on the screen changed constantly but the conviction never did.
Today, I finally pulled the trigger. I own Bored Ape #9589
This isn’t about a flip or a floor price for me. It’s about staying true to something I believed in for five years, through every cycle, and actually seeing it through. Goals like this take patience most people aren’t willing to sit with.
To everyone who’s still here, still building, still holding the line, this one’s for you.

Simple… Really have always greatly respected and admired @LucaNetz for what he has built with @pudgypenguins. #6873 left facing 1/1 grail added to the collection tonight. Thankful for @Chubbicorn230 for your trust and for @ppmcghee for making it happen. My goal is someday to bring any and all NFT communities together supporting each other. Hopefully in the future every Ape will own a Pudgy and every Pudgy will own an Ape. Markets may currently be bleak but the future has never been brighter IMO ….. 💚
