The poorest economies in the world are not achieving economic growth.
The consequence is that progress against the very worst poverty is coming to a halt.

For jeg antar dere mener per innbyggere, dere er ikke dumme, sant? Og her viser f.eks. FNs tall vel å merke at 2023 er det først året i historien hvor Svergie har fler enn Finnland, men det er 1,15 mot 0,98 per 100 000 innbyggere.

In the 1600s, medieval monks in Bavaria were given strict orders to not eat solid food during Lent.
Instead of just drinking water, the monks decided to create a batch of extremely potent beer that was packed with carbohydrates and nutrients. They then named the drink, sankt-vater-bier, which roughly translates to "Holy Father beer."
In 2011, a journalist by the name of J. Wilson contacted a local brewery in an effort to recreate this beer. He went on to drink it for 46 days during Lent and did not consume any solid food. His diet consisted of drinking four glasses of beer each day during the weekdays and five glasses of beer each day on the weekends.
Wilson noticed that during the first few days of his experiment that he would get quite hungry, however, his body quickly learned to adjust. "My body... switched gears, replaced hunger with focus, and I found myself operating in a tunnel of clarity unlike anything I'd ever experienced."
In the end, Wilson lost 25 pounds.

16 February 1926 | A German Jewish girl Margot Frank, Anne's older sister, was born in Frankfurt. She and her family went into hiding in Amsterdam. After being arrested, they were deported with their parents to #Auschwitz. The sisters perished in Bergen-Belsen.

This is my message to the international community, especially Europe:
“We are not asking for charity. Under the UN’s own Responsibility to Protect, you have a legal and moral duty to act when civilians are being massacred and the state fails to protect them. In Iran, the state is the executioner, deliberately killing its own people with military grade weapons.
For years, you made it easier for this regime to arm itself. If you stay silent now, you are complicit in the bloodshed.
So tell us: how many civilian deaths are enough for you to act?
Do Iranian lives matter at all?
Is 16,000 murdered men, women, and children not enough?
Must all 23,000 arrested protesters be slaughtered before you move?
What is your limit?
Or is this inaction because some of you still benefit, from the Islamic Republic, from the IRGC, from dirty deals dressed up as diplomacy?
We know the EU has grown weak and dependent on others for its own security. But at the very least, you can do this:
Close Islamic Republic embassies.
Expel their diplomats.
Designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
Anything less is a choice. And history will remember who chose silence.”
