Thanks to our team, fund raisers and global education partners helping us deliver this vital #MedEd education in Australia, overseas & online!
Proud that @SimMonash supports @monashuni GCCS. Kirsty Murtagh facilitates sessions and you can join @IanMeducator designing sim for large group audiences like the ones performed at CODA DFTB or SimCongress. Most of our staff completed GCCS/GCHPE or Masters. Highly recommend!
Operating room scene on stage at CODA courtesy of team @SimMonash and special guests @Welsh_KiwiDoc @drncunningham and yes we thought it was quite good too! Congratulations on a wonderful conference and progress towards sustained change @codachange
Now the dust has settled on #Coda22, we look back on what was an incredible celebration of our healthcare community.
We were reunited & re-inspired throughout 4 days of workshops, plenary sessions and even a little bit of partying!😉
Stay tuned for info on what's next for #Coda!
The lighting and staging and sound design on this session was much more complicated than the standard speakers at a conference and the two teams from @codachange and @MCEC: sound lighting A-V, filming staging all credit to you for your skill and easy going co-operation #CODA22
Approx 26 min start.
If anyone from sim world wants to watch the onstage surgical scenario has been running in silence as the audience arrives and springs into life immediately after @j_stokesparish introduces the panel then action. set the scene engage and provoke discussion
You can’t address gender inequity without addressing race and other aspects of intersectionality.
We need women in leadership positions because without women we don’t discover where women are missing. You can’t be what you can’t see - representation is crucial

Simulation on the big stage produced by team @simmonash with very special guests in @drncunningham and @Welsh_KiwiDoc proudly helping to construct and support the plenary gender equity session at #CODA22.
#CODA22 panel with an illustrative simulation of conversations on gender issues around the surgical operating table. Patient (actor) says, “I see all these male doctors talking about my breast cancer without seeing me as a woman.” @codachange
Insightful review of a paper involving pretty much everyone at @SimMonash our ex-sim fellow @JyeGard taking well deserved spotlight but so much work also from @kath_lambe@Jess_Gill_4 Chi Duong and manager Kirsty Murtagh. Well done team!
If you are waiting to go into a simulation scenario at @SimMonash look out for this lion just outside the main sim room. Hope he helps you too!
He can be downloaded for you to print if you ever need him
Thanks for such kind words @GongGasGirl#coda22
Incredible photographer, doctor, educator @IanMeducator.
He took this photo of a lion on safari during the pandemic.
Lion was so close he couldn’t get his whole head in the shot.
Has him up at home and looks to him when he needs bravery.
