Silliest part of the Conversation piece is that it links ON surge & ALP decline to Albo doing big β€œreform” in the Budget when the majority of the poll movements happened during the low-on-change first 12 months of his 2nd term.
Another example of the Conversation publishing any old tosh so long as an academic wrote it, this argument comparing the rise of One Nation in polls to the 2019 herding is nonsense. theconversation.com/reform-i…

One of the most brutal scenes in human history has been leaked. The moment the tents of displaced people were bombed in the southern Gaza Strip, in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, killing more than 500 civilians. A video that the world must never forget.

Nothing to see here. Just Israel wiping out one of the oldest cities in the world β€” the ancient city of Tyre in South Lebanon.

This is an astonishing turnaround in public opinion, one of the legacies of Bibi Netanyahu. And because it is most evident among younger Americans, it is not yet fully felt in the political system.
For the first time in two decades of polling, more Americans sympathize with Palestinians (41%) than Israelis (36%), a reversal from 55% to 26% in Israel’s favor before to the October 7th attacks. Even 57% of Republicans aged 18 to 49 now disfavor Israel.trib.al/dcUq28Q

The elites of tennis have rallied around Zverev, pushing away any concerns about the multiple allegations of domestic abuse. And now are turning around using this as "evidence" that of course those allegations must be false. The powerful protecting the powerful once again.
Who are you going to believe the LEGEND Alize Cornet, the CLEAN Swiatek and tennis twitter experts like Scott Barclay , Journos like Benny Rothenberg and woke feminists or the players like Djokovic πŸ₯΄ Such a difficult choice 😞 πŸ€ͺ

The allegations of domestic abuse against Zverev have been so covered over that even one of the most prominent advocates for women's rights in the sport are cheering on his win. So disappointing.
Congratulations to @AlexZverev on his very first Grand Slam Singles title! He is also the first man with Type 1 Diabetes to win a major. What a victory for everyone living with this disease.

This video made me cry. No child should have to go through such fear for their safety. How are we letting this happen?

When Metropolitan Police officer Wayne Couzens kidnapped and murdered Sarah Everard, Nigel Farage released a five-minute video urging people not to attack men or the police. Today, in response to the murder of Henry Nowak, he called for "pure cold rage."

#380 Blood, Sweat, And Tears by Blood, Sweat, And Tears (1969) An album that fuses fiery blues-rock with jazz, there are some great moments in the album. But also some of it is a little bit much. The album was a huge success, but it didn't last for the band. 7/10

#575 Devotional Songs by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Party (1992) I wish the book had more non-English language albums. This one is a stunner. The album is joyous, having an almost sexual rhythm to everything. A short number of long tracks I could listen to over and over. 9/10

#576 Be by Common (2005) A combination of hip hop and soul, this was really quite sublime. Working with Kanye West, Common moved away from his previous psychedelia to create an album full of great tracks and incredible heart. Love the album cover too. 7.5/10
