Wowsers! My former tutor & brilliant teacher Prof Mary Beard has been made a dame in Queen’s birthday honours list for services to Study of Classics & Classical Civilisation. She’s one of the many reasons I studied Classics. Congrats @wmarybeard but I’m surprised you accepted!!
