#APPEAL | Do you know this man who can help with our enquires following a reported sexual assault in a Liverpool city centre? Detectives have issued CCTV images of a man who may have information that could assist enquiries following a report of a sexual assault in a Liverpool city centre. At around 2.30am on Sunday 26 April it was reported that a woman was with her friend at Hot Sport takeaway on Temple Court (near Matthew Street) when two men approached them and engaged in conversation. One man, who is believed to have a Welsh accent, then touched one woman inappropriately before leaving the takeaway. Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, and detectives have issued CCTV images of a man they believe could assist in their investigation. Detective Inspector Jemma Berry said: “This was a disgraceful attack on a woman, and I would like to reassure the public that incidents such as this are rare. The victim is very shaken and understandably very distressed by this ordeal. “We are taking this incident extremely seriously and carrying out a number of lines of enquiry to find the person responsible. This incident took place in a busy area of the city, so if you were in the vicinity at this time and witnessed the incident or have information which will help with our enquiries then please contact us. “I am also appealing to the man featured in the images, or anyone who recognises him to come forward. We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.” Det Insp Berry added: “Providing support to victims of sexual assault has never been more important, and I would encourage anyone experiencing this to report it to us and we will support you every way we can. "If anyone who has suffered a sexual offence and you can find the courage to come forward and speak to us, we will deal with you sensitively and make sure that reports are thoroughly investigated." Anyone with information should contact Merseyside Police social media desk via X or Facebook @MerPolCC with reference 26000327798. The family of Stephen Molloy have issued an appeal to help find him . The 60-year-old, from Southport, was first reported missing at around 9.50pm on Thursday 4 June and was last seen in the Town Lane Kew area. We continue to carry out inquiries to find him and would appeal to anyone with information to come forward. The family said: "The family are extremely distressed and concerned for Stephen’s safety and well-being. He has learning difficulties, possibly suffering with dementia and is very vulnerable. "He will most certainly be feeling very disorientated and overwhelmed. Despite the extensive efforts of Merseyside Police, he remains missing. "Stephen has very limited vocabulary and would find it very difficult to ask anyone for help. "It will only be through a keen-eyed member of the public informing the police that they may have seen Stephen, that he will be found. Please, please report any possible sightings to Merseyside Police." We believe that Stephen could still be in Southport, but it's also possible he travelled further afield most likely on foot or public transport. We are appealing for anyone who has driven through the area, including taxi and delivery drivers, to check their dashcams to see if they captured an image of Stephen or anyone matching his description. Stephen is described as around 6ft tall, of slim build and dark brown hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black jumper, blue jeans and carrying a bright yellow bag. We do not believe he currently has the yellow bag with him. Detective Chief Inspector Dave Jones said: “Stephen's family are becoming increasingly concerned about his welfare and want him to get in touch to let them know he is safe. "We have carried out significant enquiries and searches to locate Stephen or establish his whereabouts. “He has links to Crosby, so it’s possible he may have travelled to this area of Sefton. We don’t believe he has any money, so if you have offered Stephen a lift or have helped him in any way then please let us know. “We would also ask people to check their dashcams to see if Stephen is captured on their footage since he went missing on Thursday evening. “Stephen is vulnerable and struggles to communicate. It’s possible that he’s taken shelter because he feels safe in dark places. I'd therefore ask anyone who has an outhouse or any form of shelter in a front or rear garden that could be accessible to please check. "If you live on or near farmland it could also be possible that’s he’s sought shelter within your grounds. “We will act on any information provided so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you see him or you think you may have any information that could assist our ongoing enquiries.” If you see Stephen please call 999 so we can make sure he's safe.

We are urgently appealing for information to help find a vulnerable missing man from Southport. Inquiries have been ongoing since Stephen Molloy, aged 60, was first reported missing three days ago and we are continuing to ask local residents in Southport and the bordering areas of Lancashire to contact us as a matter of urgency if they see him. Stephen went missing at around 9.50pm on Thursday 4 June and was last seen in the Town Lane Kew area. It’s believed he could still be nearby, but it's also possible he travelled further afield most likely on foot or public transport. Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Bennett said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mr Molloy and inquiries are ongoing to find him. “We believe it’s likely that he’s still in the Southport or Lancashire border area, so we are asking local residents to please let us know if you see him. Stephen also has links to Crosby, so it’s possible he may have travelled to this area of Sefton. “We don’t believe he has any money, so if you have offered Stephen a lift or have helped him in any way over the last three days then please let us know. “Stephen is vulnerable and struggles to communicate. It’s possible that he’s taken shelter since he went missing on Thursday evening because he feels safe in dark places. I'd therefore ask anyone who has an outhouse or any form of shelter in a front or rear garden that could be accessible to please check.
