UPDATED: LatAm Stablecoin Payments Landscape v2 ⬇️ A month ago we released v1 of our stablecoin payments map for Latin America in collaboration with @utila_io, @Bitso, @minteocom and @blindpay. The response was tremendous. The feedback, additions, and insights from across the community made it clear just how much energy there is around this market. Stablecoins continue to underpin LATAM’s onchain economy. In July 2025, USDT and USDC made up more than 90% of exchange volume. At the same time, local stablecoins are emerging as powerful domestic tools: BRL-pegged tokens grew 660% year-on-year, while MXN-pegged volumes surged over 1000x. These trends are highlighted in the latest @Dune report (link in comments). With v2, we’ve expanded and refined the map to better capture the wallets, exchanges, stablecoins, on/off ramps, and infrastructure players building across the region.
