Good thing for Ronnie this season is he can play his exhibition level in matches, which helps all those 147s and 153 kind of stuff.

Barry and Matthew are both attacking players, both wanted to get the rhythm. Maybe wouldn't go for it if that was 8:8 and both were warmed up already and under pressure

This is not something Iโll be losing sleep over - we canโt afford to lose any more during this event - but what are your feelings on a re-rack here?
I get that the players agreed to it. But snooker is supposed to be an intricate game of chess at times not just a potting contest.

Would be quite funny if someone is going to break the Curse the (possibly only) year when Worlds is out of Crucible ๐
Now The Crucible's long term future as World Championship host has been secured, I don't think the Snooker Gods won't be as benevolent as to lift the Curse.
Had next year been definitively the final Crucible edition, then there would definitely been a new winner this year...
