Got some help from the nephew this morning.. brought me some Chem. Definitely needed the help and my day lightened up...

Not sure how I broke that yesterday... So is it 7 years of bad luck now? I think it's already started.. blew an oring on the 4038 after, lost a couple hrs. Then got home pretty late, never thought to double check on the girlfriends chickens.. (she's stressed and went to visit her sister, because the garden and flowers got smashed to shit with hail and looks like shit) it seemed rather quiet out there this morning.. not sure how I'm going to tell her we have no chickens.. ffs

1st decent spraying day in almost a week that we can travel and I loose my water truck driver for the morning because 3 customers want to go seeding... Couldn't have come when we were around the yard and the weather sucked for spraying.. beyond frustrating

This takes me for a trip down memory lane... Beautiful dark brown metallic 79 Ford reg cab long box.. I was the smallest so I always ended up the bartender in the ol sleeper... I remember when my buddies brother bought that truck. Tailgate had bullet holes in it from the previous owner out running the cops in a field west of the farm.. those were the days..

I would consider myself a very loyal and good customer especially when it comes to crop inputs. (Bought 99% of our fert from the same place for well over 10 years) If you give me good service and fair pricing we are golden. Probably 95-98% of the fert is prepaid before it's delivered.. we have never not paid an invoice and rarely paid late.. so I find it incredibly annoying that you call me and want to drive out to collect a 19k balance due on the 15th.. it's scheduled for online payment tomorrow btw.. if I did this to every customer that owes me money for seed right now I'd have less customers, that I know.. sorry for the rant, stress is high and I'm grouchy

Into day 3 of the big rain. Apparently the "good 3 day rain" isn't a myth... Gauge says 3" the fields say more... A fair bit came sideways. The landlord at Stettler texted me late last night and was at 4.3".. we'll lose some acres but the rest should make up for it.. in theory anyways
