We need to be clear about what is happening in this photo. Rick Scarborough, former Southern Baptist pastor, got on stage at the Texas Republican Convention and told state DELEGATE Mohamed Hussein to convert to Christianity or leave the country. He was so upset that he cried. It was then and only then that Rick felt guilty, so he sat down and pretended to pray for him. The only evil we need to expel from this state are the people who don’t believe in the CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHT of freedom of religion. 📷 Manoo Sirivelu for @TexasTribune

This is damning. This was his main justification for the war.

lmao -- NewsNation plays Sen. Marsha Blackburn a clip of her railing about the Iran nuclear deal in 2015 and saying "I think we should require the president to come forward with every component" and asks if she wants the same transparency now, but she claims "this is very different from what Obama did"

A sex crime perpetrator committed suicide instead of apologizing to the victims, and now his girlfriend, the victim who demanded an apology, must pay a fine. A man, along with his friends, illegally filmed and sexually harassed 80 women, including his girlfriend. Among the victims were minors. His girlfriend discovered this and told him, “Apologize to the victims.” He then committed suicide, and his family and his friends who participated in the sex crime with him sued her. In the first trial, the court ruled her innocent of the crime of coercion but guilty of the crime of defamation with factual disclosure. The prosecution judged that her continuous statements to him saying, “Apologize to the victims,” caused his fear and anxiety. Although she had reported him to police or sought support programs and treatment information when he said, “I’m going to commit suicide,” the prosecution deemed her simultaneous caregiving while demanding an apology as “gaslighting.” She responded, “I did not intend to harm him; I simply demanded he apologize to the victims. Judging this as gaslighting stems from the prejudiced assumption that a typical sex crime victim would not make such a claim.” However, the situation worsened. On June 12, the second trial court ruled her guilty of both coercion and defamation with factual disclosure. So she, the sexual harassment victim, legally became a criminal and must pay a fine. x.com/d_t_monitoring/status/… naver.me/5lxXK3tJ m.pressian.com/m/pages/artic…

Michelle Obama reflects on Maya Angelou: She told us our worth has nothing to do with what the world might say. Dr. Angelou's words sustained me on every step of my journey, through years on the campaign trail where, at times, my very womanhood was dissected and questioned

The Oklahoma City Thunder won a national championship last year. No one rioted or shot anyone as a result. The culture and character of a city and its leadership MATTERS.

I hope that @sfgiants legend Jeremy Affeldt might have a talk with these pitchers. Affeldt was traded to the Giants as a young Christian conservative. Whenever he visited the city before that, he was afraid to leave his hotel room because of his trepidation about the LGBTQ culture in SF and "SF Values." But the city transformed him. “I see more San Francisco as a city of love and a city of passion and compassion. It’s unbelievable this city. To see that and to have my heart change as a city I didn’t ever want to come to, to a city that I’m so thankful I’m going to be part of for a long time, it talks about that. For me, it was an awesome deal.” "He also credits a gay Starbucks employee for revealing his bias to him, recalling how the man’s casual interactions with Affeldt’s family showed him that there is “no difference, none” between gay people and straight people." Affeldt created an organization to fight human trafficking during his years in San Francisco. salon.com/2013/05/22/san_fra…
Disappointed that a number of white, American pitchers for the @SFGiants chose to wear caps with Genesis 9:16 scrawled next to a rainbowed logo on Pride Night last week, and one opted to not wear the pride cap at all. @GrantBrisbee nails the problem in his Athletic post: "Pride Night is about bringing more people into the group and telling them they belong in the same stadium, rooting for the same team." "Pride Night is about support and lifting human beings. Making it about something else — yourself, say, or the idea that some people aren’t as worthy of recognition or support — shows how little some people actually care about a message of love." nytimes.com/athletic/7358121… The Giants issued a statement which included this, at least: "We understand that the choices by individual players have caused pain and anger to many in the LGBTQ community and we are sorry for that. Those choices do not change our organization’s commitment to inclusion, belonging, and creating a welcoming environment for all." sfstandard.com/2026/06/14/sf…

When the crimes of this administration come out, and they will come out, the amount and scope will be as staggering. Even as openly corrupt and contemptuous of the law as this administration is, what remains hidden is an iceberg of crime.

He thought his opposition to women’s rights and his desire to force religious conservatism on the public would mean he was welcome in the GOP but turns out that while he hates some of the same people as Republicans, they also hate him. So sad :( :( :(

I have no idea why @ZaidJilani writes so much about me, but I never wrote an oped on foreign aid. He should cite it if he’s got it. I wrote an article on a Marshall Plan post the Arab Spring and I got kudos from the White House and State. So this is all pretty false.
One time Neera Tanden wrote an oped about foreign aid that was so stupid that she got chewed out by the White House itself because she constantly opined on stuff but has no actual subject matter expertise. Working in the same building as her was an embarrassment.

this is what blows my mind when people act like elon is wildly intelligent instead of just good at extracting wealth from a broken system. DOGE saved us $15 million dollars a year by cutting this program which within two years led to a cost of $1 billion lol. a five year old could tell you that’s not a good deal.
> save $15M a year by cutting a screwworm monitoring program > screwworm outbreak almost immediately > $1B to combat it Government efficiency

It's actually insane how gaslighty the whole 'it's not anti-semitism to be critical of Israel' movement has become. There is literally zero reason to defend this kid. It has zero to do with Israel. And yet... people like Glenn are going hard.

Also, completely unsurprising to see Glenn going hard to defend someone who said "I don't want to work for a Jew." Because clearly, that is about criticism of Israel's foreign policy. Please pay no attention to Glenn's lifelong friendships with literal neo-Nazis.

WHATABOUT WHATABOUT WHATABOUT. That's all these people do. They are addicted to finding One Magic Own (or old tweet) and acting like that invalidates the point being made. Because they can't actually defend their argument on the merits.
Kate was a spokeswoman for John Edwards in 2008, and stayed on to the end after the Enquirer broke that he was cheating on his cancer stricken wife with a campaign videographer, fathering her child, and as we later learned committed 6 campaign finance felonies to cover it up.

It is a truly depressing way to do activism. You convinced a bunch of people that there was a serious issue that needed addressing and now all you do is spend your time owning the Libs. And the actual important issue is just completely lost.
