📘 Deepbook Margin & Points System
Deepbook Margin went live last day as per official announcement. What does this brings for users & how can one interact with it to accumulate points? Let's discuss
▫️ Deepbook Margin
In simplest terms, margin is the collateral which one deposit to borrow more funds, allowing them to open larger, leveraged positions (Upto 5x) to amplify potential profits, but also at risk of losses.
Deepbook margin enables you to use Deep, Wal, Sui, Usdc assets as collateral rather than just Usdc (As in perps) which makes it easier to get exposure in multiple assets with versatile holding.
▫️ Deepbook Points System
Users can interact with dApps which integrated Deepbook margin & get points in return. Before digging deep into strategy, make sure you know what things are considered for points
▪️ Opening & Closing Trades
▪️ Volume, more the better
▪️ Time of holding
▪️ Risk Factor (More risk = More points)
▪️ Both profitable & negative trades give points
⚙️ Now let's discuss strategy (Delta Nuetral)
▫️ Go to
@CetusProtocol (May use other dApps also Turbos, Deeptrade etc)
▫️ Set Leverage on Sui/Usdc pair (may try other pairs too), I will prefer no more than 1.5x
▫️ Buy some Sui from Usdc at your wallet & deposit those Sui into Margin account
▫️ Short Sui at 1x Leverage
▫️ Relax & Chill
❔ Now question is what if I price of Sui moves & I get liquidated?
Answer is you wont get liquidated ever, and you will always end up with same capital, here is how
▫️ If the price of Sui goes down: Your short position makes a profit in USD, but the value of your collateral drops in USD. They cancel each other out.
▫️ If the price of Sui goes up: Your short position loses money in USD, but the value of your collateral increases in USD.
This way you can farm points with ease of mind with No loss. If you have Sui as initial capital, you may sell those Sui at Spot & then long via margin at 1x to enjoy same perks. 😉
