Not accusing OP of this, but I seriously wonder how many leftists who blindly accepted the Gaza death toll of 680k will do some introspection upon seeing this claim
The 250k number is total bullshit btw which should be super obvious to anyone that isn't a deeply racist knuckle dragger. This article explains why in detail. In short they applied the rape rates of the worst areas of the U.K to the entire country. thejournal.ie/250000-victims…

The concept of Mark Carney being so pro-JCPOA that he's willing to defend a war by the Trump administration even after most of his own supporters have started to turn on it is actually incredible
#BREAKING: PM Carney calls war in Iran ‘worth it,’ says tentative deal a ‘game changer’ ctvnews.ca/politics/article/…

Bought this 8bitdo controller because I heard good things and I gotta say I'm really impressed. A little expensive, but the quality of everything is excellent, except maybe the face buttons but they still aren't bad. An actual usable Dpad on Switch is a game changer too.

Additional shoulder and back buttons are nice too, though I struggle to think of a game where I'd use them. You can also swap between digital and analog triggers which is cool.

Every time I play a game with the lose all your money upon death mechanic I turn on it a little more. Genuinely debating turning it off for Mina the Hollower, I don't think I've ever seen it be used well.

The problem with it, like most Dark Souls mechanics, is that it tries to be difficult by putting up time consuming nothing in front of you, instead of encouraging you to actually learn the game's mechanics. Risk-averse play is far more important when this mechanic is present.

Hitting Iran’s nuclear and missile sites was the right move. This regime chants death to America, murders our troops, and attempts to assassinate Americans on U.S. soil. They believe they have an obligation to destroy us. Now, we plan to unlock billions of dollars and lift sanctions, with the promise of even more money. They will use that money the way they always do— to further their nuclear ambitions and on terrorist proxies against us. It’s a huge mistake to pay to rebuild the threat we just destroyed.
BREAKING: The US has released the full text of its 14-point "Memorandum of Understanding" with Iran. Key terms include: 1. The US, Iran, and their allies agree to immediately and permanently end military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon 2. The US and Iran agree to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity and not interfere in each other's internal affairs 3. The US and Iran commit to negotiating and reaching a final deal within 60 days, unless mutually extended 4. The US will begin removing its naval blockade immediately and fully end the blockade within 30 days 5. Iran will use its best efforts to ensure safe passage for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days with no charge 6. The US and regional partners will develop a mutually agreed plan of at least $300 billion for Iran's reconstruction and economic development 7. The US will work toward terminating all types of sanctions against Iran, including UN, IAEA, primary, and secondary sanctions 8. Iran reaffirms that it will not procure or develop nuclear weapons and agrees to address its enriched material stockpile under IAEA supervision 9. Until a final deal is reached, Iran will maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program, while the US will impose no new sanctions and deploy no additional forces 10. The US Treasury will issue waivers for Iranian crude oil, petroleum products, derivatives, and associated banking, insurance, and transportation services 11. The US will make frozen or restricted Iranian funds and assets fully available for use 12. The US and Iran will establish an executive mechanism to monitor implementation of the MOU and future compliance with the final deal 13. After signing the MOU and implementing key ceasefire, blockade, shipping, oil waiver, and asset-release provisions, the US and Iran will begin final deal negotiations 14. The final deal will be endorsed by a binding UN Security Council resolution The memorandum will trigger a 60-day window to negotiate a final deal.

Over 300,000 people die of drowning each year. In order to protect society, it is now illegal to consume or possess water. Your government is also considering banning solid food, as it presents a needless choking hazard. You are not an adult. You are a baby. Eat the baby food.

Decapitation strikes sans strategy have little impact; had Trump allowed Israel to continue to attrite regime instruments of control and empower actors on the ground, rather than kiboshing such efforts early in the campaign as he did, such strikes would be a key part of putting the regime at risk of internal collapse. If Trump had actually wanted such an outcome, however, he wouldn't have nixed those efforts in the first place, hence why the idea he is teeing up the IAF to kill Mojtaba or Vahidi is idiotic in the extreme. Trump never cared about regime change: he always wanted a fresh set of players holding the same levers of power in place with whom he could play ball, like in Venezuela. This was always about his (delusional) art of the deal. Now the only thing being played is Trump, and we're all worse off for it.
Why are they so convinced that decapacitation strikes actually do anything? George W. Bush had *so* much better of an understanding of foreign policy than modern Republican hawks, honestly. Regime change generally needs some sort of ground force!

You either think the Iranian regime is a threat or you don’t. I personally think they’ve proven time & time again that they prioritize funding terrorism. Therefore, I’m opposed to handing them large sums of money at once — whether that be unfrozen assets (Obama) or this new “reconstruction fund” (Trump 2.0). None of this makes any freaking sense, and I wish we could all just admit it. The overt partisanship is so embarrassing.
BREAKING: US officials have now confirmed in a briefing that Iran will get full access to a total of $100 billion in frozen funds and the $300 billion reconstruction fund, both included in the deal with implementation now underway, per WSJ. More than $150 billion of the fund has already been committed, directly contradicting Trump's claims that the US would not contribute to the $300 billion fund, per Reuters.

I know I’m a fanboy but this is why Nintendo is sustainable. These games were on the level of a Nintendo AA title but the budgets were higher than their AAA titles. I can almost guarantee StarFox had way less of a budget and will sell more
Simon Pulman on Linkedin : “South of Midnight” and “The Outer Worlds 2” both cost around $100 million, including production and marketing ift.tt/3Gvc6NA

Kinda. Being on game pass can harm a game if it has a major install base on Xbox. Ask yourself why the only series that has appears to have been harmed by being on game pass is Call of Duty.
They didn't sell because they were trash games. Not because it was on Game Pass. Expedition 33 was on Game Pass and sold 8M copies. Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered was on Game Pass and sold at least 4 Million copies. Your narrative is easily shattered.

I am genuinely obsessed with the type of person that finds themselves required to larp as a fan of persona to be popular. Like how is that even possible??
This is where the argument "You don't have to play/read/listen to X to be a fan of it" comes from. Because the hobby isn't the focus of normies. It's socializing and being popular. Because heaven forbid we enjoy our hobbies. No- we have to do it in a way that appeals to their sensibilities otherwise we're doing it wrong. Really sorry monoculture is dying, but that's not my problem to coddle and cater to you. If you're not a fan because you experience the medium, but because you want to socialize and look cool, you're just a poser. Posers used to get beat. We should beat posers again.

Business bros acting as if the Nintendo hasn't seen record breaking levels of succes by simply not doing these things
Video games are not a charity. They aren't art you hang up in a museum. We don't have billionaire patrons who will pay $200M for a vanity project. These things need to be commercially viable, but too many in the Enthusiast media (influencers among them) have spent so long tearing everything down (DLC, microtransactions, loot boxes, AI, etc.) that they've created a huge rift between the economics of the industry and player expectations. So tell me... Who is going to buy a business running at 3% contribution margin? To leave loss-making studios open? In case this gorgeous idea of AA (where everyone just says Clair Obscur and then can't say anything else) magically starts printing money? If that actually worked, everyone would already be doing it. The industry needs to reset its cost structures, and to do so, it's going to incur a lot of pain on places that don't actually make money. And y'all need to put a mirror in front of yourselves when you ask why... because you'll be staring right at a big reason. You've taken a particular glee at tearing down the industry over the past 3-5 years, and now you are surprised at what you see.

Y'know, speaking of carpal tunnel, I can think of one game where this argument has substantially more merit than the rest
crazy to see people say stuff like: “telling people to play games is ableist. what about people without hands?” in 2015 my carpal tunnel was so bad i needed to cheat engine the game to 50% speed to beat sans with both wrist braces on. never occured to me to just Watch It!
