What people might not see yet with AI as it stands today is the general usefulness for normal people outside tech is still fairly awful. This friction reduction design Apple is trying here bringing AI to the user where they already are is much more genius than it might initially seem... Siri AI is a step into a more human oriented AI product design. Through all of their platforms. I am impressed.

1. If they were Steam Frames, that would only be around 20,000 units at best, and even fewer if it were Steam Machines. So it’s definitely Steam Controllers. 2. I feel comfortable saying that because I woke up this morning to my reservation.

The recent SteamVR Betas have been extremely fast to boot up on my system compared to before. Almost night vs day in comparison I know Valve have been refactoring a lot of the super old code over the past couple years. Seems like it is really paying off Thank you, SteamVR Devs!

Unfortunately we are looking at a canary in the coal mine. The macro environment continues to erode and limbs are getting cut off to survive the shift.
BREAKING: Xbox warns of a "reset" as it prepares for layoffs. Sources tell me there are major Xbox layoffs coming next month, and the cuts may even involve a studio closure. Details 👇 theverge.com/games/948142/mi…

Previously Apple required you to use NVIDIA’s CloudXR protocol if you wanted to use their PCVR Foveated Streaming framework No longer the case in visionOS 27 BUT those who are wanting to implement a non-default FoveatedStreamingProvider need to submit a formal request for it

I call it UnRealityKit. It's a UE5 RealityKit bridge for Apple Vision Pro. All those things you can't do in Unreal Engine for AVP due to Metal: eye tracking, standard gesture controls, room lighting & reflections, volumes, fully utilizing the M2/M5 chip... all possible now.

Canadian documentation has said that a Steam Machine “user manual” will be available June 29 and Steam Frame controllers’ users manual will be available June 18. The same release for Steam Controller was days after launch. Take this with a grain of salt as it’s merely documentation, which often has random dates that don’t go anywhere, but we could hear something around those dates!

After watching the visionOS updates at WWDC, I find it even harder to believe that Apple has “paused” its Vision roadmap. Maps are becoming more 3D. Photos are becoming spatial. AI is being integrated into visionOS. The system is still being built layer by layer. Vision Pro may not be a mass-market product yet, but that does not mean Apple has given up on spatial computing. What Apple is really doing is slowly moving its entire ecosystem from 2D into 3D. Hopefully, the rumor that “Apple has abandoned Vision” will finally stop with people who understand what is actually happening.

Well, we got everything 🙌. Can’t believe it. visionOS was the most updated platform of all during this WWDC imho. It’s crazy when you think about it, given all the bad press from the past few months 😂.
We'll soon know if our predictions were right and if we get things from our wishlist for visionOS 27! #WWDC26 studiomeije.com/blog/wwdc26-…

visionOS 27 introduces a new widget that can instantly connect to Mac Virtual Display, without you needing it to have the Mac nearby. You litterally just need to have your keyboard and mouse ready. This is the setup of the future.

Holy Shit!: Companies can also now build their own spatial accessories that work with Apple Vision Pro! “Using IR LEDs and an IMU for precise, low-latency six-degrees-of-freedom tracking, along with physical inputs such as buttons, touchpads, and haptics. These devices can be tracked at up to 90 Hz, supporting high-motion use cases and tracking under low-light conditions Manufacturers, including DFRobot and MikroE, will release off-the-shelf reference hardware and development kits later this year, which will be available for testing or direct use in your visionOS app.”
