In the presence of @rafaelmgrossi & Federal Councillor Martin Pfister, the Spiez Laboratory was today redesignated as a Collaborating Centre of the @iaeaorg. As such, the Laboratory will be able to share resources, knowledge and expertise with other members.

Congratulations to 🇨🇭 Switzerland’s @SpiezLab on its 100th anniversary: for more than a century, the Lab has advanced science in service of public protection, including important work in radiation protection and nuclear safety. Joined the anniversary ceremony hosted by @SwissGov’s Martin Pfister, and had the honour of renewing its designation as an @IAEAorg Collaborating Centre, a role it has held since 2016. Through its expertise, @SpiezLab supports the Agency with missions abroad and laboratory work, continuing to make key contributions to global nuclear safety and to our shared goal of protecting people and the environment. I look forward to many more years of close collaboration with the Lab and Director Marc Cadisch.
