It’s a great time to enjoy the outdoors across Newfoundland and Labrador, whether you’re staying at a campsite, hiking the trials or spending time in the woods on your side-by-side. Keeping safety top of mind is important to make sure everyone has a good time!
If you’re using an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), remember there are more people on our trails, roads and in the woods when the weather is nice. Ride at a safe speed, stay in control and keep an eye out for others nearby, especially children. Awareness is key!
Always wear a helmet, even on short trips and buckle up if your machine has seat belts. Make sure that riders under 16 are properly supervised, and follow all rules and regulations.
Stick to marked trails and follow local rules for where ATVs are allowed.
A safe approach to summer fun helps protect not only you and your family, but everyone enjoying the outdoors this season!
