Keep seeing people say if guys like Harden, CP3, Westbrook ect had the team Brunson had around him that they’d all have rings but last I checked none of them took 113 million dollar pay-cuts to make it happen. They chose money over rings, that’s their legacy, not Brunsons.

I didn't know how deep Agencies in doing dirty job for leading corporations' Soft Censorship until we spoke with creators in the digital space. Some innocent 'looking' people on this app are viewed in the same light as killer cops when it comes to muzzling freedom of expression.
Bharat Thakrar is now crying all over after losing control of Scangroup, but some of us remember when he and his PR frogs were busy doing the dirty work for the UhuRuto regime. They were moving around the market deciding who should get PR business, who should be blacklisted, who should be starved, and which independent platforms should be branded “bad brands” because they refused to become praise and worship departments. Now the same corporate machine has chewed him and thrown him outside, and suddenly he wants the world to understand pain, betrayal and boardroom politics. Karma is very patient. It can sit in reception for years, then one day it enters the boardroom without knocking.

I think Kenyan parents look at discipline (and I don't mean corporal punishment) as lack of customer care and lack of respect for the principle "the customer is always right." So they don't collaborate with the school in raising their children. When the children are caught misbehaving, the parents come to dispute with the school, not to discuss with the school, because they want to enforce the fact that as customers, they are always right. This is why I've kept saying that philosophy matters. If you're taking a kid to school because you can afford it, not because it's your duty; and you treat the school as customer service, rather than as education, it will make a difference in how you behave as a parent at the school. I kind of feel nothing for families because when we try to have conversations like these, Kenyan adults would rather listen to neoliberal propaganda from the media. Like I said on @theelephantinfo, I'm at a loss for words when it comes to the Kenyan collective mind. What we say we want is not what we actually do in action. But the only people required to prove "relevance" of theory are the teachers. When media spew junk about "learner-centered" nonsense, nobody requires them to prove the benefit of what they're saying. One of my first videos on #MaishaKazini was that education is not customer service. Link in the thread.

In our kids school, there was widespread misbehaviour. Teachers acted on it. Parents went to Ministry and school was reprimanded. School and teachers said fine. We'll let your kids be.

Someone has been doing a very good job of trying to kill this story in the local media. Barely reported. As reported, the vehicle, KCQ 222X, belongs to Dawamu School, owned by Phillip Waithaka and his wife Claudia Waithaka. Their son, Kinuthia Waithaka was driving. Allegedly they came to the accident scene and took their child, left the rest. They allegedly have tried to say that a 34 year old relative was driving but witnesses from that night have refuted that claim. Full story here: kenyanbulletin.com/death-of-…
The night of April 24 was expected to be one of the happiest in the lives of the Peponi School A-Level Class of 2026. By 3:50am the following morning, however, the mood had changed dramatically. A police constable at Karen Police Station’s radio room received an alert of a serious accident along Ngong Road. He and a colleague immediately called for an ambulance while heading to the scene. zurl.co/zs5Xc

Expansion or not, the same Germany thrashed the host by the same margin in 2014. Russia beat Cameroon 6-0 in 1994.
This Germany Curacao game shows why the expanded World Cup is so embarrassing. Can you imagine a serious team losing 7-1 to Germany before all these new teams were let in?

They are mad they can't be drinking mimosas in Nairobi at 9am before boarding a charter flight to Kakuma to 'save the starving children'. All under the USAID dime.
The richest man on Earth dismantled the organization that feeds the poorest children on earth. The definition of evil is being a trillionaire in a world where millions of children are starving.

Desmodium is an interesting plant. Livestock farmers work so hard to propagate it. When you try to grow it under clean intensive conditions, the thing doesn't grow thrive. But in wild condition under weed and shrubs it thrives like nobodies business.

Reported speech with extra spice and salt. 😀
Former Tusker Project Fame host Mitch Egwang has made startling revelations about his time on the popular East African reality television show. According to Mitch Egwang, his co-hosts Sheila Mwanyigha and Joey Muthengi deliberately worked behind the scenes to undermine his on-screen appearance. Tusker Project Fame's hosting lineup over the years included Gaetano Kagwa, Sheila Mwanyigha, Mitch Egwang, and Joey Muthengi. Gaetano hosted Seasons 1 and 2 as well as the All Stars edition, while Sheila and Mitch co-hosted Seasons 3 to 5. Mitch later teamed up with Joey Muthengi in Season 6. According to Mitch, tensions existed behind the cameras despite the polished image viewers saw on television. "Getting into Kenya, one of the difficulties was that the crew did not like me. Even my co-host we had friction with my co-host for almost two or three years before we actually started hitting it off." Mitch said that Kenyan co-hosts did not want him to shine on screen and would steer him toward unsuitable makeup artists and barbers in an effort to affect his appearance during broadcasts. While Tusker Project Fame was celebrated as one of East Africa's most successful reality shows, Mitch's account paints a different picture of the personal and professional challenges that existed among members of the production team. Neither Sheila Mwanyigha nor Joey Muthengi has publicly responded to the TPF backstage conflicts.

Have you seen muranga folks and their bent backs? I blame the tea baskets. One of my grandmother's passed away late last year at around 95yrs and she probably lived that long because she use to be a teacher and only supervised tea picking on her farm when she quit teaching.

One of the greatest videos to watch is Yohann Blake doing hill sprints in his prime. Very useful session for resistance and building that engine.

My primary school didn't have a field. So for athletics, we trained on the sloppy road with runners going uphill. Our sprinters used eat zonal events with so much ease.
In this 8 week study, athletes sprinted uphill 2x per week on a 6% grade. The uphill group improved 30m sprint time by 0.10s and showed more improvement than the flat group. But the reason I like hill sprints isn’t only because they can help athletes get faster… I like

Yesterday’s FIFA World Cup Opening showed what this handful of hateful Ntelezi idiots have done for South Africa’s international reputation and decades of goodwill. All the genuine outrage against illegal immigration has drowned under their violent acts, human rights violations and threats while they run around the country barefoot telling us they are “men” Decades of goodwill built on international solidarity, opposition to Israeli genocide in Palestine, cooperation with other nations, gone to dust. Football is a global language where even politics find expression, and these jokes about how SA at the World Cup is in a “rush to go home and defend their jobs and women” or how “They can’t attack Mexico because they are not African and Black” - this is not only banter, it’s political satire It shows how the world view is shifting towards viewing South Africa as a hub of hate, something that has never been part of our identity. I mean we are being compared to Argentina and Morocco, who have committed human rights atrocities against Africans respectively. The State should take responsibility for allowing hate groups which stop children at clinics, schools, beat people and in some instances incite murder, to define our international identity. It’s not a joke, and we cannot banter our way out of it. It’s a stain. South Africa being regarded as the hate capital of Africa at a FIFA World Cup would have been unimaginable in 2010. Israel is smiling wherever it is, because its mission accomplished. We have lost our moral authority on the global stage.

Companies pay good money to "beautify" these roundabouts and get branding & advertising rights. Meanwhile gafana allocates money to the same r/about that's being done & maintained by a private corporate entity.
