With the massive disclaimer that I have no insight into operations at @discord_support let me say this: kudos for what seems to be a quick reaction to the account deactivation wave. However, the default messaging of "credentials/token might have leaked, set up MFA" isn't helpful.

This isn't unusual for fabricated support process notifications because they're written for default cases and automation, not specifically rare or new incidents. They need to exist in several languages for several actions etc.
The "prevention" part is quite misleading though.

Seems like @discord_support is sending out password reset emails now although the reset links to click.discord.com are probably overloading their capacity right now. Page won't load.
Also, reminder: use the pwd reset on login pages if you're not sure the mail is legit.

Had a customer today with a 30 minute "Device Preparation" ESP. Switched Company Portal v2 from All Devices to All Users, down to a couple of minutes @microsoft @IntuneSuppTeam #MSIntune #MVPBuzz

Looks like the wave of @discord account deactivations is mostly limited to users/IP addresses within Germany. At least according to reddit.com/r/discordapp/commβ¦
My best educated guess: DDOS or botting detection went haywire and just banned everyone from (specific?) German ISPs.

Well, @discord_support - getting an account disabled out of the blue, not receiving Support Ticket confirmation emails and sooooooo many posts on the blue place and twitter.

Imma try to keep this brief but quick history lesson... this specific rhetoric is literally how the Nazi party rose to power. I studied abroad in Berlin and learned a lot about the Weimar Republic which I had never even heard of before. They don't teach it here on purpose (1/?)

I ran into a Year 2038 problem today, and only realized it because I knew of the Year 2038 problem.
As I have vented about, we are currently migrating on onprem file servers to Azure NetApp Files. We have landed on "Use NetBackup to restore shares to ANF and then delta."

Another fun way for PowerShell is 'Invoke-Command localhost { β¦ }' which runs it in a network logon where all privileges for your token are enabled by default. Granted it requires WinRM to be configured but if it is itβs a nice way to do this without any deps.
