Just asking, since @GoogleStadia starts seeking the new opportunity via "white labeling", will it be a good thing if Steam Cloud Play one day connect to Stadia like what they did with GFN now? @ztlaidlaw

A very important suggestion to @GoogleStadia : try warning the user the game is not available in their current region BEFORE THEY BUY IT. I just waste the 10 dollar promotion on a game which is not available in my current region, and refund won't give that discount back...

For example, imagine a HMD with dedicate display and send tracking data to the phone/get visual data from the phone via USB cable (like LG 360 VR), or a HMD with dedicate tracking unit and active shutter (there is a patent) which can make most of the high end phone be VR ready.

The important part is: phone manufacturers doesn't need to implement special hardware unit and its driver in the phone. Like most VR ready PC/laptop doesn't really need to intentionally implement special hardware components in their final product, it will just works.

Just noticed that Google VR SDK on GitHub now being archieved, means that @GoogleARVR team won't update it in the future... Was hoping that they still supporting standalone device, now it seems I overestimate their passion on VR... github.com/googlevr #Daydream

Unless @GoogleARVR team announced another SDK for Daydream, otherwise the whole #Daydream VR platform are very dead :(

Apparently, @googlechrome Canary channel (version 80) now have @OpenXR support flag in Chrome Experiment page. Currently it's only support Windows, hope it will landed on other OS ASAP. Though I really wish @GoogleARVR team make #Daydream got @OpenXR support in the future...

And seems they have no clue why this VR platform not being widely supported by the devs and the consumer... Seriously? Take a look at other popular VR platform, did Daydream as open as Cardboard? Did Daydream View sell on as many countries as GearVR? No, so why should we bothered

Though I think it's worth a try to use the Light field technology for immersion, or use Seurat technology to bring it to the mobile VR, but overall I'm really impressive for the content it provides. Great job @googlearts ! store.steampowered.com/app/1…

After seeing all the announcement on #OC6, if @GoogleARVR team still want to take a fight, they must be smart and hurry... Hope they will introduce the mysterious "cilantro" or "lemongrass" VR devices during the #madebygoogle 2019 event.

According to the latest Google VR Service APK (V1.23), Google may working on a new VR HMD with code name "Cilantro". @9to5Google @AndroidPolice @droid_life
Redditor st6315 made an interesting discovery digging through Google VR Services 1.23. A new class named "CilantroDriver" in com\google\vr\internal\controller\ could be for "a GearVR-like device..but with WorldSense technology built-in and accompanied with haptic controller."

Since @OpenXR 1.0 is out, I wish @GoogleARVR start supporting this API set to help expending Google #Daydream VR platform. To be honest I am surprised that MS and Oculus make more buzz on supporting OpenXR API than Google... khronos.org/openxr
