Our P7 Eco Council Representatives proudly attended Lagan Valley Island to receive their Green Flag, presented by the Live Here Love Here team and Mayor Brian Higginson. They were celebrated as an Ambassador School for our work in biodiversity and outdoor learning.

Today the P6 and 7 children enjoyed their last Mandarin class of the year. Thank you so much to Miss Pang who has worked so hard with the children creating fantastic interactive lessons that the children have really enjoyed. We will miss you Miss Pang when you return to China.

During the month of June, we pray in a special way to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Today, we were delighted to receive a beautiful statue of the Sacred Heart, kindly gifted by Mrs Allen’s mother.

P4 were busy writing some imaginative stories for the ‘Writing for Fluency Competition’ led by Master McKee. They devised their story plans yesterday and thought about creative characters, settings, problems and resolutions. After presenting their stories, I wonder who will win?

We have been encouraging classes to celebrate the month of May by honouring Mary, the mother of Jesus. We had special pastoral assemblies at the beginning of the month to celebrate praying the rosary with our families. Thanks to Fr Sean for calling in to pray with us
