Today is Dwarfism Awareness Day! Brody was born with a rare form of dwarfism called diastrophic dysplasia. It affects 1 in every 500,000 kids and mom and I are genetic carriers of the gene. Holly likely is too even though we are all average height. It commonly comes with club feet, scoliosis, cleft palate, cervical kyphosis, hearing loss, and breathing issues since it affects cartilage. It does not affect Brody (or anyone else with it) cognitively. Brody got all of the main characteristics except for breathing issues and has had 7 surgeries to assist him with any complications from his condition. If there are any questions you have about Brody’s condition or about parenting a kid with his condition, go ahead and ask!

This is what not even 6 months of Collin Klein can do for a program. Imagine a year. Imagine 5 years. Imagine 10 years. The single most important thing for Kansas State University is installing people in the athletic department that will do anything & everything Collin asks.

As someone who’s been singing the National Anthem at rodeo events for over 20 years, I’ll just say…. There’s a way it was intended to be sung, without your own spin. This was 💯the way! Bravo!

I met Aldon Smith when I was an intern in chiropractic school. We went to Mizzou to treat the athletes. He was exceptionally nice and I remember thinking he was the fittest person I had ever seen in my life. A specimen. This is awful news 😢

Ok, Madden 27 beta plays REALLY well. Player controls are tight and responsive. You have more options than ever to adjust to what your opponent is doing. Superstars also play like superstars. CPU blocking finally picks up the blocks they would run right past before. Ja’Marr Chase just eats up all but the absolute best DBs. Bengals playbook is nasty as well.

So far this World Cup has been a great reminder that we make too many assumptions about one another, and that the vast majority of humanity is awesome. It's been pretty damn refreshing, honestly.

It’s been fascinating to watch Europeans run around America while here for the World Cup. They’re eating Texas barbecue, and touring state parks, like it’s a lifelong dream. And we take it all for granted. Americans spend so much time arguing with each other, that we forget how inspiring this country is. Probably by design.
