Our next update @luxor might be too powerful to release publicly. The new Commander interface is so fast, it has started underclocking before the next power print. We even put it in a sandbox and it profit maximized its way out. It has identified a flaw in site operations that had gone unnoticed for 20 years - technicians have been informed. Out of an abundance of caution, we are withholding the update until further notice. Sincerely, The Luxor Team

Centralized mega-mines were always a honey pot🍯, and as "cool" as they are, they are a product of economies of scale and the cantillon effect. Satoshi would hate them, they aren't necessary for the #btc     network to run securely. If they go down in flames, so be it 🤷‍♂️.

Miners shouldn't just look for the cheapest sources of energy, they should look for the most resilient source. A 500MW facility with a single offswitch and power source does not qualify. If it's not a 30% electricity tax, it will be something else. Predictable result incoming.

That being said, good luck to everyone in the mining industry in opposing this. No one wants to see wasted investment in the mining space. Try doing something useful with the heat. The less vanilla your operation is, the harder it is to be labled as a "bitcoin miner".

Since everyone is posting their chat.openai.com results today. Here is #bitcoin as described by Ayn Rand and Karl Marx. Look like they might have agreed on something after all 😆.

During drought and famine: Lions die 🦁 💀 Fungus keeps gowing 🍄 Dung beetles keep rolling 🪲 💩 Being at the top of the food chain is great in a bull market, but now there are too many lions and not enough food. Long live the recyclers! @OffgridMining @ctimmersion

This post is about #bitcoin mining economics, if it's not abundantly clear 😅. If BTC>$0, better business models will stay profitable. The future of mining is not warehouses of computers flushing heat as waste, with fixed price PPAs. Then pain we're seeing is well deserved.

It's very convenient that the solution to every terrifying but unproven existential threat is more taxes and government control.

Why do men put 100% of their disposable income into status symbols? ⌚️ 💎 🏎 If wealth is your measuring stick, this behavior makes you far less wealthy over the long run. These decisions add years of grinding to your life, and result in less time spent with family.

Alberta now has a bitcoiner as Premier. Over the last 5~ years, @francispouliot_, @BTCsessions, @adamobrien and I have all been on her radio show to talk about #bitcoin. Low taxes. Plentiful natural gas. Capitalism. #Alberta is THE place to be for a bitcoin company.

That's actually kind of neat. Maybe we should explore leveraging this business model to increase reserve margin on the grid! No, that would be crazy. We should instead scrutinize all new load, subsidize intermittent supply, and promise future blackouts.

#bitcoin = ♾️/21,000,000 USD (&CAD) = x/♾️ Anything scarce, priced in dollars, has no cap. It's going to get really bad. Our lifestyles will change. What was once normal will be deemed luxurious. Probably a good time to secure energy, food, and other lifestyle inputs.
